We enjoyed the layout of the house with two bedrooms on the first floor and bunk beds with a full bathroom on the third floor. We cooked our meals in the kitchen and fully enjoyed the hot tub after skiing.
Very comfortable and perfectly located. Enjoyed ski cooper and exploring Leadville. Nice outdoor hot tub and sauna. Well equipped kitchen. Walk to restaurants and shops.
Absolutely loved the kitchen and cooking for my family and friends!! The house is very modern and really felt like a vacation home. Ski Cooper is very close and I highly recommend it- less crowded, family friendly, great service.
Fantastic location can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping. Amazing view of mountains on the outdoor space. Hot tub was incredible. Kitchen was huge with lots of cookware. Comfortable living room with TV. Kids enjoyed the upper level. Nearby skiing at Cooper was excellent, no lines as advertised. Would definitely come back.
We stayed in Leadville mostly to ski at Ski Cooper. We also wanted to have a hot tub on sight. This house was a great location and had beautiful views from the windows and rooftop hot tub. The sauna was also a nice touch. We really enjoyed the spacious living room and kitchen as well. Our only issue was the pet hair on some of the bedding and the rugs. It’s a great house and I would recommend it.
Great place to stay for a quick little holiday trip
The pictures of the kitchen and living room didn't do it justice! This place is great with a lot of room for entertaining. We had all the room and more for cooking our meals. Thank you very much for putting up a Christmas tree, it made it feel like our own home. This place is close to the things you would need if you forgot them. We were only 20 minutes away from Ski Cooper which allowed us to stay all day there and relax in the hot tub and sauna afterwards!
The location of this house was perfect. Walking distance to many locations and dining and shops in town. Less than a mile to get onto the trail around Leadville. This was exactly what we were looking for. The three bedrooms with three baths worked out perfectly. The rooftop deck had beautiful views, and the hot tub was fantastic. Our overall experience was excellent.
Fantastic stay! Home was beautiful and well appointed. It was in a perfect location for us to walk to dinner, drinks and shopping. We had some August pop up thunderstorms (every day) so we didn’t get to use the rooftop hot tub as much as we would have liked. The time spent was terrific, tho. Amazing views!
With 3 floors we all had enough room to socialize or have some down time, as needed. Beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed for an evening in.
Luxury Stay with Thoughtful Touches & Perfect Location
We absolutely loved our stay! We come to Leadville annually to board Ski Cooper. The modern house design, high-quality furniture throughout, and spacious, well-equipped kitchen made for a fantastic experience. Most important the beds were incredibly comfortable and we all slept great. The hosts were kind enough to offer us an early check-in at no extra cost, which we truly appreciated. We didn’t encounter any cleanliness issues as previously mentioned in other reviews. We also enjoyed walking downtown for dinner at Quincy’s, which was a great addition to our stay. It’s clear that the hosts are dedicated to providing a true luxury experience, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!
We loved our location and accommodations in Leadville. Great place, location to downtown and view from the rooftop. Rooms were comfortable and kitchen well appointed.
We will be back.
Only issue is I had no code to get in. He said he sent it a month before but was not sent. Get code before you don’t have service on the way there.
SO MUCH TO LOVE! Friends visiting from MN this was perfect! Easy to find - LOTS of space to park, walk dog etc. Short walk into town where we found delicious food (Treeline YUM! and High Mtn Pies for pizza - double YUM!) about 45 min to Vail and surrounding areas. View from the top is unreal.
The inside was absolutely stunning - sunny - warm with a touch of elegance. Thank you so much :)
We came to town for a short ski trip to Cooper and Monarch. The home is located very close to Cooper and serves well for a base camp. The house its self is in great condition and the neighborhood is very quiet. The only issue is that it is next door to the Lake County Maintenance facility and their lot is just outside the windows and they arrive very early. You can walk to anywhere in town easily. The kitchen has everything you might need. The grill works well. The beds are comfortable. And there is plenty of space. The hot tub / porch view is awesome! Parking is street side and isn’t an issue. We plan on returning.
The unit is well designed, comfortable and functional with its three levels enabling a family/ friends the ability to spread out. The minor deficiencies include the larger kitchen sink handle falls off and the electrical outlets and beside lamps in the front bedroom are all inoperable. A set of real steak knives and corn cob stickers would be nice. Overall, well maintained and worthy of repeat visits. I’d rate at 4.75.
The property itself was super gorgeous! You can’t beat a VRBO that has enough beds, huge kitchen, and a sauna hot tub. The only thing we were disappointed about was the cleanliness of the house. There were used pots and pans put away & left to mold, full trash bags left, dog hair everywhere (we didn’t bring a dog), the sheets were used and not cleaned (we ended up washing them), and the hot tub had some questionable grime. It just felt like there was no cleaning service in between stays.Other than the cleanliness, the house was perfect. It’s a 15 min drive to Ski Cooper, 5 min drive to the grocery, and walking distance to pubs/restaurants. Overall, we did enjoy our stay!
We loved this place. We walked into town for coffee, ice cream, dinner and bike rentals. The hot tub was wonderful to use. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils and more. There were lots of towels for the kitchen, bathrooms and hot tub plus extra sheets and bedding . The showers were great. Beds comfortable. It was a great place to stay for climbing Mt Elbert, biking the Mineral Trail and white water rafting. We do wish it was easier to keep the bedrooms cool. We couldn’t find screens in most windows and needed them open to stay cool. Got a few bugs inside that way.
Great location close to main street and coffee shop around corner. Lots of space. Cleanliness of kitchen was an issue, cupboard door insets were dusty/filled with crumbs. Stove and filters were covered in grease. 2 french press coffee pots and regular coffee pot but no Keurig? Glass doors on toilet area in master were covered in fingerprints. Master shower is VERY small. Didn't care for the concrete floors but not a huge issue. Would be a great place but needs a deep clean for my taste.
Simply stated, I would be surprised if there is a better short term rental property in the Leadville, CO area.
This home is exactly what it appears to be online. Modern, clean, nicely remodeled, and well-appointed, with everything guests need to feel at home. The location is quiet, yet only a few blocks from Highway 24 / Poplar St, which is the main drag in Leadville.
We used the home as our base to walk much of central Leadville, and also from which to explore Twin Lakes, and various hikes on Highway 82, towards Aspen. The beds are comfortable. We cooked a few meals and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. The rooftop hot tub, sauna & fire pit table were excellent, and very nice to have after a day of driving, hiking and exploring.
The owner / manager was easy to work with. The digital guide to the property is first class and answered all of our questions.
The only caveat I would share with future guests is to ensure you examine the hot tub when you arrive. In our case it was off at the nearby breaker, and needed about 24 hours to reach temp, which we wished we had discovered a little earlier in our stay.
Overall, excellent experience, and we would rent again if staying in or passing through the Leadville area.
To be clear - for the most part, this place was exactly what I wanted. A well-positioned, spacious base camp for alpine pursuits. Great location, and in fairly good shape. The rooftop hot tub is a fantastic set up, even if some of the jets didn’t work.
However, and I hate to say this, for those looking to rent be advised this place is clearly not looked after closely or cleaned well. Whoever does the housekeeping isn’t a stickler for details like cleaning dog prints off the sliding doors, ensuring the floors were thoroughly clean, or even washing the bedsheets. Now I am a Lab owner myself, so the first two issues can be ignored. But the bedding was simply beyond the point of discomfort; every single bed in the place had two or more of the following: notable amounts of what appeared to be black lab hair, longer human hair, pet/body odor, and permanent stains/discoloration. It honestly appeared that whoever cleaned just made up the used beds instead of washing the sheets. Just unacceptable for a VRBO.
I checked the laundry room for clean sheets but learned that the best sets were already on the beds (ew). As it was 10pm the night before a 4am call time to hit Mt Elbert, I really didn’t have a choice and I slept in the least dirty bed.
After a stellar climb, some R&R in town and in the hot tub, I decided I didn’t need to subject myself to the linens again and drove to a hotel in Vail my final night in the mountains.
It is a beautiful industrial chic 3 level home in Leadville. No complaints on location or cleanliness. Huge kitchen and can accommodate big parties! We loved hanging out, playing games and we got a kick out of reading the guest reviews book. We did not have the best experience with the property manager. Ofcourse you know as vacationers the best scenario is when you don't need help but when you do, it's always time sensitive because your time is valuable!
Pros: Andrew the property Mgr let us check in early which was great, he was responsive on text when we had a snag in understanding how the lock worked.
Cons: We could not figure out how the sauna worked; personally we think it was broken. We texted Andrew 2 nights in a row (3 night trip) to ask for help and he would reply *12 hours* later when the window for using the sauna had run out and then repeat instructions that didn't work! We were disappointed and frustrated with these huge delays.
Once we left and texted to say we couldn't get the sauna to function, within minutes after us leaving, he presumably had someone in person to check on the sauna! Why not send this person while we were there? Does not make any sense!
Andrew- For families on vacation, time is limited, so every issue is time-sensitive. We needed you to act & follow-up and you did not. Impression made was that Property Mgmt was a 2nd job & actionable on a limited basis.
Guide book was clear. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Great location to walk to the Silver Dollar Saloon . Beds comfortable. Close to Ski Cooper which we love.
Stayed there with a group of friends. The place was just what we wanted - large kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of space for everyone, and the rooftop hot tub were all highlights. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided all the info about the rental in a downloadable guidebook. Planning to stay here again next winter!
Beautiful views, beautiful house and very pet friendly. We absolutely loved this stay! The little town is so cute. We went skiing at copper mountain, rode the Leadville train, went to 3 different wonderful coffee shops, and loved the FAMOUS restaurant. Our whole stay was phenomenal! We will be coming back
