Great vacation home with family
We were 6 adults and 1 baby. Plenty of room for everyone. Although we went out & explored the island's beaches and trails, the favorite spot for all of us was sitting on the porch with the wonderful breezes and a great view of the ocean. The chairs were very comfortable. The property owner was very helpful--when wifi wasn't working when we first arrived, he got on the phone and worked for a while to get it running. We had an issue with some of the stove burners, and he drove out and fixed them. There was plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and pans. I would have preferred a toaster to a panini maker, but we made do. And, I'd recommend some kind of netting to go over the fruit--we had to put our bananas in the refrigerator to keep the birds out of the kitchen! Our hosts had bananas, pineapple, rum and lime ready for us when we arrived--also coffee and tea, although that may have been what previous tenants left behind. And, they detoured us to a market so that we could buy some essentials before we arrived at the house, and helped us navigate the market. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the colorful flowers around the property. And, although we really weren't bothered with bugs, we enjoyed using our mosquito nets over the beds--primarily for the novelty, but maybe we needed them (?). We were lucky that our sons spoke decent French to translate for us, and that our hosts arranged for someone with decent English to meet us with them at the airport/rental car.
In addition to the clothesline, there was a portable clothes rack for drying. Also, outdoor shower for rinsing off sand, and a hose for rinsing feet/shoes. Plenty of space in the bathrooms for hanging towels, toiletries, etc. Also, plenty of closet/storage space for clothes in the bedrooms. And, a bonus wall of books--in French. Everything we needed!
