"It’s a long time since I stopped at a Campanile so on my drive back from Italy to UK thought I would give it a try. The barracks style looked tired but was clean. The room decor was Spartan. The balconies in the accommodation block were very tired and full of smoker’s evidence. I had dinner and breakfast there and although the breakfast was basic, it really was fresh and wholesome. The dinner was ok and half the price of the hotel the night before but hardly French quality cuisine and in hindsight I wish I had gone offsite to seek a better offer. Parking was handy. I think next time I will book a traditional hotel."

"Had problems initially finding the hotel as the maps link took us somewhere else. Also roadworks made it a roundabout entrance. The property is a little tired, but well located for onward travel. Breakfast was very good"

"The room and bathroom were a fair size. The decoration was OK but too much black made it quite difficult to see in the very subdued lighting. There were some weak details such as no hangers for trousers, only 2 coffee pods (very mean) and unusable plug sockets behind curtains. The bathroom was excellent with a bath and good shower. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of foods. The location of the hotel is ideal and the parking a real bonus."
