"The room was clean and nice enough, but the view of the lake was obstructed by an adjacent building. The gardens were not very impressive and the pool and hot tub were not good. The exercise equipment and "arcade" were basically a few pieces in an outdoor storage area. The staff and owners were very nice and helpful. You can take a ferry from Stresa to Islo Bella, which is very nice, but parking is difficult and it is very crowded. "

"The hotel was overall amazing. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the property is very well maintained. There is some light wear in the main areas and bathroom, but nothing that takes away from the experience. It still feels very nice, not dated at all, and hits all the important notes. It is also close to everything, making it a very convenient and enjoyable stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Loved the location."

"I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and found the experience to be mixed. The room itself was acceptable and met basic expectations, but there were a few notable issues that should be addressed. The pillows were very uncomfortable and made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. More concerning was the condition of the bathroom. It appeared to need attention, with visible damage to the grout and tile, likely from past leaks. This gave the space a worn and poorly maintained feel. Overall, while the room was adequate, improvements in maintenance and comfort would make a significant difference."

"From the front desk staff to maid service to the shuttle van driver, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was great to have a shuttle van as our flight was early in the morning. Breakfast was pleasing and had a good selection. I enjoyed the coffee machine which was able to make espressos, cappuccinos, Americano’s or Doppio’s. My wife liked the tea selection as well.. The hotel is only 1 1/2 miles from the airport and they drop you off right at your departure airline. Thanks to all at for a wonderful time at Hotel Villa Malpensa. Sincerely, Patrick & Cassie "
