Perfect getaway
This unit is simple, cozy, and has everything you need to just get together with family and relax. It is out of town so quiet and private, but less than ten minutes from town and the hot springs. In the spring, we were definitely glad for the SUV on the road—it was a little rough but worth it for the solitude.

I was expecting a summer version of the cozy snowed in cabin that was advertised. What we arrived to not only was missing snow but also all the exterior siding. Piles of old siding and loose nails surrounded the cabin. The shed next to it was caved in and tall dry weeds made the place appear deserted and junky. The inside was nicely remodeled so we decided we could manage for one night since we’d be away at the hot springs most of the afternoon. Inside looked clean but we found multiple things under an elevated couch which had me wondering what else hadn’t been cleaned throughly. The doors were difficult to shut, the kitchen sink gurgled when the toilet flushed upstairs and we had a slough of off road vehicles roar up at 8:30pm turning around in the driveway. After check out I let management know of my experience and was offered an apology for not being notified beforehand that the owners were sprucing up the place. For the price I was expecting a higher end place to retreat for the evening and somewhere my young boys could stretch their legs from our travels. I got neither. Secluded and cozy…not so much!

Beautiful property and view
This was a delightful cabin on top of a hill overlooking the Lava Hotsprings countryside. The cabin fit my young family of 6. The three older kids slept up in the loft style bedroom in the 3 beds. The 1 year old, husband and I slept downstairs in the living room/ kitchen space on the sofa sleeper. For a sofa bed it was remarkably comfortable and the baby w as in a pack-n-play tucked in the corner. Our only complaint, and it wasn't their fault is the drive way. It was so muddy and sodden due to the massive snow pack melting quickly, our AWD sienna almost got stuck in the mud. We ended up leaving the van at the bottom of the drive and hoofed it up the 1/4 mile(ish). Wasn't too bad. But if you are going during the spring melt, be aware. We loved exploring the property and would have loved it more if we had the proper snow stuff. I am sure in the summer and fall it would be heaven to roam around more when not covered in 3+ feet of melting snow. All in all we would strongly consider coming back at a different time of year to

Money hungry owners
We booked this for one night the end of March. When we got there at 3 o’clock check in time, we found that the cottage was inaccessible due to terrible driveway conditions. With it being the end of March we assumed we didn’t need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to access the cottage but our friends who had 4 wheel drive barely made it up and ended up driving the cleaning crew up to the house, which they hadn’t even started cleaning because they couldn’t get to the house either! We found the cleaning crew stuck partway up the mile long driveway. When I contacted the property manager she said the owner would not refund us any money due to weather conditions and that they had a plow schedule to come plow the roads later that night. There was NO snow on the driveway that needed to be plowed. It was just ice and mud. The plow did nothing and the owner offered us no help. We ended up having our friend shuttle us partway up and walked up the steep hill to the cottage. I would never stay here again simply due to the fact that the owner could care less about their tenants. They need to explain CLEARLY at the beginning of their description that through the end of April this cottage is inaccessible to anyone without a truck and even then, good luck. Also, I came from montana to visit here and am used to snow and dealing with it. We have no snow this time of year where I live. The owner should have notified us that they still have a lot of snow and we needed to bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
