Dining at the restaurant was a highlight of our trip. The food was excellent, paired with a well-curated selection of drinks that made each meal feel special. "The house is in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location but only a 5-minute drive to the restaurants, bars and shops of Villereal (which is a very beautiful town). The house is pet-friendly and our dog loved the large garden to chase her ball or explore. Bernard, the host showed us around on arrival and provided help if we needed anything, but was not intrusive. We received a welcome gift on arrival, which was a very kind gesture. Although, Bernard and his family live next door, the house is very private and all facilities are exclusively for guests. The house was very clean and comfortable and provided everything needed for a relaxing holiday. It was also nice and cool inside, but the air conditioning was very much appreciated when the temperatures soared. The garden, pool area and outside terraces were lovely areas for relaxing or enjoying an evening meal or drink.The house is perfectly located for visiting the nearby towns of the Dordogne and Lot, many within a 15-minute drive. We would definitely recommend it to other travellers looking for accommodation in the area."

"Really good stay. Communication with the host was simple and flexible after a mix up with dates. The house itself was lovely and worked really well for our extended fmily stay. The location is superb and the use of both the pool and the river was ideal given the nearly 40 degree heat. Really enjoyed it"

"A beautiful hotel situated in an old windmill, right next to the river, with amazing views. The rooms are lovely, clean and well equipped and the shower is great. All of the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our evening meal was wonderful, as was breakfast, with a wide and varied range of excellent, fresh products. You can wander downstairs to sit by the river, passing through a room containing the workings of the old windmill, a bit like a museum, which is really interesting. There is a huge free car park, including spaces with electric charging points."

"Pour une rare fois, les photos donnent un portrait qui ne rend pas tout-fait justice à l'appartement qui est vraiment agréable, bien équipé et très bien situé dans une village médiéval. Le village est vraiment agréable à marcher. Il y a un peu de touristes mais on en ressent pas vraiment la présence. Méfiez-vous des lundis car tous les commerces sont fermés ! Issigeac est un bon pied à terre pour explorer la région. Nous avons voyagé par temps de canicule; on trouve de nombreux endroits de baignade en rivière sur les bords de la Dordogne qui serpente la région. Châteaux, grottes et vignobles à profusion..."
