"This place shouldn't really be classified as a hotel, it's old and decrepit, the reception when we arrived was inaccessible, we weren't given any information by email on how to access it and the lady who eventually opened the door only spoke French so we interpreted various codes to access the lift, the front door and the room. "L'emplacement est magique et l'hôtel, une véritable bulle de confort. Dommage qu'il soit impossible de dîner au restaurant sans réservation préalable, qu'il faille prévoir ses soins au spa au minimum 15 jours avant son séjour et que le wifi fonctionne extrêmement mal, au point d'en être un problème lorsque l'on est ici pour travailler. Une fois n'est pas coutume, les plats en bocaux du room-service sont d'excellente qualité."

"A lovely, historic country house hotel, with a peaceful terrace and garden, on a hillside overlooking a beautiful Auvergne landscape. Just an overnight stay but we would all have been happy to stay longer. We were greeted in the beautiful reception area by Fréderic, who couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Although the building is old, there is a lift, so having rooms on the first or second floor is not a problem for people with limited mobility. The rooms were clean and adequate but perhaps not of the standard suggested by the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was generous and of excellent quality and was served in the hotel dining room We had dinner at the restaurant in the adjacent spa building - which the hotel emphasised is a separate entity - and weren’t particularly impressed."
