Stunning 3 bed villa, sunny terrace & great views

This 3 bedroom villa with roof terrace, patio, conservatory and great wifi is in the picturesque village of Laroque des Alberes, 40 minutes from Perpignan airport. It lies in the foothills of the Pyrenees, yet is only 15 minutes drive from great nightlife and stunning beaches and a 3 minute walk from great restaurants, a boulangerie, charcuterie and a weekly market.

The space
Laroque is one of the most beautiful villages in Languedoc, with little cottages and jardins surrounding a 12th century castle. There are good local shops and at least 6 high quality restaurants, all within 5 minutes walk from the villa. The village is very lively in the summer with an Arts Centre offering music concerts and films; yet you are secluded with beautiful views over the valley. 5 minutes drive away are supermarkets and wineries and another 10 minutes drive brings you to the lovely seaside towns of Argeles and Collioure. We are very much in Catalan country, just 15 minutes from the Spanish border. Ceret is 20 minutes and, driving into Spain, Figueres is 35 minutes. Near the house is a lovely stream, and there are easy walks up into the foothills of the Pyrenees. Our house has a beautiful roof terrace with sun loungers and its own kitchen. The views over the valley towards the sea are breathtaking! Each of the 3 large bedrooms has a good view in addition to a study with an inspiring outlook. In the evening we always eat in the conservatory as the sun goes down over the castle. We keep logs in the garden for the woodburning stove. The kitchen is high quality and well equipped. The garage has a washing machine, dryer and another fridge. The shower rooms are also new with high pressure showers. There is air-conditioning in every bedroom as well as downstairs and the wifi is good and reliable. We have the latest smart tv which you can cast to direct from your phone and we supply plenty of maps and local information.

Other things to note
Our house is down a short lane. There is parking in the driveway, though you may prefer to park on the street.
