The Space:
This brand new conversion offers beautiful luxury accommodation with open plan living room and kitchen with a super shower room and comfortable double bedroom.
All centrally heated to provide a lovely cosy home from home. Private courtyard area outside and parking space. Access is via an external staircase so it is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.
The property is to the rear of the owners main house but you will have all the privacy you require.
Conveniently located just a short stroll away from Langports most historically important building, the Grade 1 ancient monument 13th century Hanging Chapel.

Continue on your short walk and you are in the town of Langport with its regular markets, array of cafes and independent shops plus of course the lovely popular riverside walk and Cocklemoor picnic area. Lots of things to see and do and an ideal base to travel out further afield.

The Neighborhood:
The Frog is close to Langports most historic feature the 13th century hanging Chapel which formed part of the old town walls.
Eli's (The Rose & Crown Inn) is a wonderful 17th century thatched inn that's been in the same family for over 150 years! Just a 10 minute
walk away, recently voted top Somerset pub for live music. It's such an ancient unique quirky flagstone floor pub and it doesn't have a
bar!. Monthly classic car meets often have several hundred cars for the general public to look around, whilst enjoying a refreshing drink
and food from an array of speciality food trucks. We are a 10 minute walk to the gorgeous river Parrett which has a
slipway that's very popular for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, wild swimming and bird watching. We have plenty of room to store
your paddle boards during your stay!
Langport is a small market town on the Somerset Levels that has many great cafes and independent shops and a weekly market. The 16th
Century Black Swan Inn serves traditional pub meals and a superb Sunday Carvery!. You will be spoilt for choice with the wonderful old
pubs in & around the surrounding villages.
Our local area is very popular with cyclists & walkers. (Langport has a cycle hire shop) Just a 10 minute cycle ride away is the amazing
Muchelney Abbey (English Heritage) which can also be walked following the footpath along the river Parrett.
There are several very good bird watching areas nearby, and if you are here between November and early March you can catch the
starling murmuration, which is considered one of the most spectacular wonders of the natural world.
If you enjoy beautiful country walks, you're going to have a great time. Whether you want to walk or get in your car to explore the
local attractions you will be hard pushed to pack it all in.
Langport has a supermarket, petrol station, lots of cafes, along with bakeries, butchers, fish and chip shop, Chinese and Indian takeaways,
glass making, galleries and weekly markets. There are several activities you can take part in from painting and pottery to felt making.
A taste of local attractions include, several Somerset Cider makers, Somerset Willow Basket Makers, The Fleet Air Arm Museum
Yeovilton, The Haynes International Motor Museum Sparkford, Somerset County Museum Taunton, Clarks Outlet shopping village
Street. Indoor & outdoor swimming pools also in Street, Glastonbury Abbey & The Tor, With the magnificent City of Wells / Wells
Cathedral and the Newt near Castle Cary some 35 mins away. A little further away and well worth a day out is Cheddar Gorge and
Wookey Hole Caves (Often combined with a visit to the City of Wells)

We are one of the few places in the area to offer free off road parking for 1 car.
Our check in time is after 4 PM.
Sometimes guests like to go for a walk or cycle ride before checking in time. Please let us know if you would like to do this so that we can make parking available for you. (we will try and accommodate this for you, please advise your ETA)
