Fantastic Weekend Getaway
Our family & dogs really enjoyed our stay. The host had cookies waiting for us upon our arrival and her communication with its us was always timely. The home had everything we needed and a new hot tub.

Ladies Spa Weekend
There were 6 ladies in our group celebrating with a bride-to-be. We were very pleased with the home, it was very comfortable and clean and had enough space for us all. Cell phone coverage in the surrounding area was spotty at best so the wifi offered at the place was appreciated. Communication with the Property Manager was excellent, we ran out of propane while grilling and she drove out there at night to belong us a new tank...a real sweetheart! My only complaint was that the tap water had a terrible odor, like sulphur. Maybe it was well water? Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

A fun and casual getaway!
Loved all the games available in the finished basement! (Pool, Air Hockey and even some retro bowling and golf) hot tub was clean and worked perfectly. Didn’t use the fire pit as planned but was still nice to have available. Host responded to any concern or issue at hand with haste. Had all amenities you could ask for and then some! Overall had a great small getaway with friends and family and wouldn’t mind staying here again!

This listing is exactly what you see. The location was easy to find as well as nice and peaceful. The property was very clean and easy check in and out process. The host was amazing with communication. Definitely will be renting again.

Great getaway
Spacious cabin with fun things to do. Firepit, pool table, and hot tub. Lots of places to sleep. Very cozy. Quiet area with lots of trees. Would recommend.

Just ok
We had an ok stay. The hot tub heater did not work which others have mentioned so seems to be a recurring problem. This was a big disappointment as our group was looking forward to using the hot tub as the days were mostly rainy and gloomy and prevented much hiking or other outdoor activities. The kitchen needs more pots, pans, and plates. Hot water kept going in and out during showers. Overall a bit disappointed. On the plus side the games in the basement were great for the kids and the owner was responsive and allowed us to have a late checkout as we had a disabled family member with us that needed extra time in the morning, which was much appreciated. But we wouldn't stay here again

Hi Lily I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Unfortunately we did have to replace the hot tub after your stay ended. Hopefully that will prevent any new issues for future stays. We do have a thankless hot water heater and with a house that size when you have large groups and multiple items running hot it will be intermittent. I am sorry that you will not return but I am glad you enjoyed the games.

A great New Years stay!
The cabin was a really great place to get our large group of college friends back together to celebrate New Years. Plenty of beds and spaces for people to be able to go off and hang out in smaller groups and large open main area for everyone to hang out in!

Cozy Cabin, Great for Groups
We enjoyed our time with our family here. We had a large group but the number of bedrooms and bathrooms were very accommodating. The living room had new furniture and space for people to gather around in chairs. We needed batteries and had questions about a few things but the property manager was very responsive and even came over to help. The kids really liked the arcade games, pool table, and air hockey table. Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Sweet Christmas Stay
Check in was very easy. The property was just as described and the whole family loved the cabin accommodations. It was the perfect location for us just north of Hocking Hills. The Christmas decorations and goodies were a wonderful surprise. The weather was just warm enough for the kids (3,6) to enjoy the swings and gym set. The bigger kids played basketball outside and pool/billiards inside. It was a great place for some quality family time. The kitchen was stocked with plenty: a Kurig and regular coffee pot, a crockpot, an instant pot - we (11-15) made all our meals. We only found we needed more utensils and stopped at Walmart for plastic ware. It’s just a short hop to all the hiking trails. A great place for lots of family fun.

Very nice, secluded home.
Our entire family, well minus a few, came and enjoyed the wife open spaces inside and out. Nicely done for Christmas. It was warm and inviting. Plenty of space for all of us. The noise level was high with the wide open spaces as well, but not overwhelming. We enjoyed walks through the woods. Our only negative was the hot tub but they were quick to come and attempt to rectify the issue.

Great property
The house worked wonderful for us. Students were inspired and created a lot of songs based on the surroundings. And I believe they use the hot tub quite too. Kitchen is a great workspace for a large group of people. This property worked well for a visit.

Great Stay and Great Communication
Our friend group of 11 had a lovely stay here. The host was so nice and welcoming, she even left us cookies! There was plenty of space for us all and enough for us to do even with a rainy day. It’s a very pretty area and is close to many fun things! We drove to Ash cave and it was about 35 minutes. Definitely worth the drive! We hope to visit again soon!

House for 8 adults
This beautiful cabin style house was exactly what was needed for our group. It had many options to enjoy a such fun relaxing stay in Ohio. Had more than enough beds, spacious bedrooms, hot tub was relaxing, a huge yard and the shaded area made a perfect peaceful fall weekend. Our dog Brew had a fun weekend too. A tiny water issue had happened during our stay but Elizabeth was more than happy to get it fixed within hours. The house could use a couple more dishes and upgraded pots and pans. Thank you so much Elizabeth again for opening up your home to us! Definitely loved the house it was beautiful it was our little home for the weekend.

Could have been cleaner.
The kitchen could have been better stocked with dishes and especially pots and pans. The living room furniture could be replaced, it was older and very uncomfortable. The bathroom in the basement had quite a bit of mold on it. The basement could use carpeting. We spent quite a bit of time there with having little ones, it has a nice play set outside; however, the lawn hadn’t been mowed for quite some time. I would not recommend this house to any of my friends.

Great location needs some TLC
Group of 15 - good room arrangement/kitchen could handle multiple cooks - needs pot and pan upgrade and more plates and flatware/nice secluded space/minor maintenance issues/teens loved the game room in basement. Bit of a drive to HH State Park(30 min)/grocery was an easy drive away. Love log cabins - 3 pushng 4 stars.

First let me state the positives. The check in was uneventful and the lodge was relatively clean. The kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table and arcade games. Now let me state some of the negatives. The lodge and the online pics did not really match, and the owners attention to maintaining the property left allot to be desired. Two big issues, the hot tub, it was green and murky, no one in my group felt obligated to jump in except my granddaughter, and she only braved it once. The second major issue where the showers, they didn’t work, or shall I say worked intermittently. For the dollars I spent renting the premises for the weekend I would expect to take a decent shower. That didn’t happen. To all prospective renters please shower before you go. A couple minor issues, the owners really didn’t invest in allot of toilet paper, so please bring your own. Also, paper towels. And the trash cans were out by the road. A little bit of a walk. And by the way, they were full when we arrived. And another minor issue was the parking. Be advised that if you have older persons in your group that there is only room for one or two cars to park on the level of the entrances to the lodge. Otherwise you will be parking below the lodge and have to walk up a hill to the lodge itself. Not the owners fault, Just an issue that needs to be brought up. Overall, the family had a good time, would I go back or recommend the lodge ? Nope.

Great place for a group with kids
This property was amazing, especially for a group with kids. All of the kids loved the swing set, arcade games, hot tub, and toy room so much! The men said the pool table and sticks definitely need upgraded, but they still had fun! Well stocked kitchen! Also the shower water will go between hot and cold if more than one thing is using water at once. Overall amazing place to stay though!

Look elsewhere!
We booked this vabin and arrived. Only ro find out the owner doubled booked the property. Told us she will put us in a different cabin which was a dump. Told us we were an inconvenience to her although she was the one that double booked. AWFUL communication and very snobby lady. Please look elsewhere and save yourself from a headache. Our whole first day was ruined because the 2nd cabin was another hour away. Wasnt even clean when we got there!

I got double booked and I apologized to the guests. Had them meet me at property ID 3139647 as you can see it has great reviews. It was 30 minutes from my other property but closer to Hocking Hills hot spots. I asked them if they liked the accommodations if not i would give them a full reimbursement. They wanted to stay and I gave them $100 to grab some food while we finished cleaning it. I am sorry that we failed your expectations. Rooms are spacious and property is beautiful. Internet works well as does the A/C. Here are some of our complaints: The basement game room was cold and moldy. The hot tub heater did not work. An upstairs window was wide open and could not be shut. One toilet was clogged. It is a good property, but it needs attention.

With some much needed maintenance, this property would be a great place to stay. A broken showerhead, almost nonexistent water pressure along with intermittent hot water, spartan bedroom furniture, and overgrown landscaping detract from an attractively rustic cabin that could have made our family vacation positively memorable.

Nice cabin just needs some updating
A lot of minor issues that could be fixed. Cleanliness could be better too since you pay a cleaning fee. Overall the area and amount of space/ amenities make up for that. I would book again if those issues were fixed.

Was great mini gateaway cabin! Have everything you need for you vacation or for a gateway wven for kids!, if you want to do something around, i recommend to go hiking at old man cave, we didnt have much to explore more because we wanted to stay home all day to relax!

What to expect
Elizabeth does a very good job of communicating. The cleaners do a fair job of cleaning. There were many cobwebs in the basement bedroom. The kitchen has many appliances but is chaotic and there is not enough silverware or flatware for a large party. Plan to wash the dishwasher after each meal. The cabin sleeps many. Please realize there is only 1 bathroom on each floor. The space suited our needs. The location is amazing and the price is decent.

Cousin weekend
House is easy to find, not far from Lancaster! Plenty of beds in the house. Communication with home owner was prompt and easy. Water for showers was hot and cold, hot and cold through the whole shower. Property could use a little upkeep and the house was not the cleanest. Overall the stay was not bad for the price of the cabin.

Beautiful and quiet
It was so nice to get away from the city and step into the quiet of the country. We could hear the echo of dogs barking from miles away when we were walking our own, but nothing else. The house is roomy and welcoming. I love the open floor plan and the hot tub. Kitchen was well appointed and the bathrooms were spotless. Elizabeth is quick to respond and accommodate. Would definitely recommend, and hope to stay here again soon!

Nice property. Great amenities and place for a family with children or multiple families with children. Cleanliness is not up to a luxury home to wear socks in the house, would bring indoor shoes with you. King bed is in basement and was unuseable to us, as it smells musty like a basement and is colder than rest of house. Our stay was in the winter time. Owner was responsive to our messages with questions on the property. Even the food recommendations were good, Millstone BBQ and Ale House 1890.

Great Place
This was a great property to stay at. The location is very easy to find. It is about 30 minutes from Hocking Hills state park but a very easy drive. The house was wonderful. Very clean had lots of kitchen things to use. The hot tub was great. The toy room was a great bonus for the younger kids and the games in the basement were awesome.

As advertised. Owner very responsive. We had a great time celebrating Christmas together as a family- decorations made it feel very welcoming and warm. Open layout was very nice so there was no disconnect while preparing meals. Games in basement were definitely a bonus.

Family Gathering for Belated Christmas
Everything went perfectly. Plenty of room for our large family, lot's to do, every amenity we could want. Elizabeth communicated every step of the way, making the trip less stressful because we didn't have to guess about anything. She even left her tree up for our gift exchange. My older kids went out and explored the area (antiquing, etc.) and had a great time. Cannot thank Elizabeth enough for how blessed our family felt to gather together in her home.

Beautiful Cabin Getaway
The cabin was beautiful with large open spaces, since our stay was in Dec we planned to be in the house most of the time and with the recent storm, that is how it worked out. It was perfect for us and our adult children, we were able to sit and watch tv for hours, all sit at the table for meals and games and the game room in the basement provided lots of fun for us. I probably should have paid more attention/prepared better for what was and wasn't included in the kitchen.

Great cabin!
Communication with the host was a breeze- very quick to respond and check in/check out were extremely simple. The cabin was a great getaway for our extended family ages 2-65 along with our two pups. Place was clean and plenty of kitchen utensils, linens available for us to use over the few days we were there. The hot tub was a dream and so were the pool table and arcade games in the basement. Highly recommend booking here!

Kind of nice but lacking for price …..
There was unfortunately very uncomfortable mattresses, a lot of dust; cabinet drawers and doors that didn’t work and/or were broken. The hot water didn’t work and water had a foul smell and taste. The hot tub wasn’t working properly it was a warm tub at best , jets seemed clogged, water looked questionable (greasy film) and visible mold. The “amenities” in the kitchen were in short supply and kitchen was semi grungy including the only cookie sheet. Many outlets were loose. The tv kept going out. There were strange things like doll heads and torsos but n the one bedroom. Many personal items around. The views were nice and dogs welcome but for the price I paid I would have expected a lot more and certainly not the things I encountered Sadly I have stayed at places much cheaper that were much nicer but the host was reachable although not as helpful as I would have liked. In conclusion if I were you and you were going to spend the amount asked I would go somewhere else

I am sorry we failed your expectations. We have implemented a new cleaning team and maintenance team since your stay. We are going to have an inspection of each of our properties with a deep cleaning every 6 weeks to keep up on things. We were unfortunately overwhelmed this summer. Relaxing Getaway
My 7-member work team and I embarked on a team building experience this weekend. We picked the cabin for its location and accommodations for such a large group. We needed a place to relax and bond with some of the newer team members before our upcoming daily activities. I must say that the cabin is even better than the photos. Everyone enjoyed the space and games during our stay. They all said we must come back. Our host, Elizabeth, was always a message away and responded promptly to any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back here for future events.

Great Vacation house
It was a great place for my family to get together. We loved the seclusion. Nice size kitchen for cooking meals. The bedding arrangements worked great for us. We had the absolute best time! I would recommend this place! There was something here for everybody! Thank You Elizabeth! If I could say one thing to improve the stay...cut the brush back off the driveway just a little.... so it doesn't scratch the vehicles. But...again! It was a great place to stay!
