"The service was great, though my suggestion is that it is difficult to pair with an extended stay when you booked a short stay. The long-stay owners were extremely loud on the last day. Overall, a three-star from me, just because the service was good."

"Great stay. Beth was really helpful and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Would book here again no question. The rooms are spacious and breakfast was very nice. Unfortunately the hotel wasn’t serving food in the evenings due to the coronavirus but the food from both the Hibernia pub and wavertree cafe was fantastic. "

"The check in was easy, lady graciously let us check in a little earlier. Suite was big, clean and bright. The kitchenette area was a big plus, as was the free parking.
A short stroll down the hill to the beach and town, and both were lovely.
The hotel was lovely, a little tired in areas though. For instance, brambles overgrowing the paths, the pool which is a great touch, felt dirty and had an odour, im not an expert, but felt it needed filtering and a deep clean.
To be fair though the positives far out weigh the negatives and it felt like the owners are doing it up, on a constant cycle, which is good.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it and return no problem."
"Lovely updated hotel staff where mostly great but all were polite and friendly. I did love the views from our room and the room was large and very comfortable with proper filter coffee so that’s a big score for me
We did turn up to check in and found the bill said £1000 more but was cleared up quickly and altered to the correct amount x these things happen.
We booked afternoon tea for 4 people but when we got there it was only booked for 2 people however I do think this was our fault as we originally mentioned two and we gave our room number so it was charged to our room but taken off and because of the confusion the manager only charged us for 1 of the afternoon teas"
"A beautiful place, obviously on a working farm with associated noise and smells on occasion. Well appointed rooms with everything we needed the complimentary welsh cakes a nice touch. We only had breakfast but that was excellent and all the staff were very helpful pool very enjoyable"
"We had a great stay at Portclew House! The breakfast was filling and delicious, the staff were very accommodating and offered great vegan options for me. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. It's a great place to stay if you're visiting the area."
