"Our house was literally at the foot of a vineyard...a spectacular setting and a beautiful drive from Porto. The house was beautiful, clean, nicely decorated and had a nice patio to enjoy the beautiful weather we had. The wine tasting room was just a staircase away. "My wife and I celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary at the Quinta. It's location made it convenient to visit local museums, wineries and Churches. The location also allowed us to explore many nearby small towns for amazing meals and to meet lovely people. Porto is only ~1.4hrs by tollway, which is 90% of the travel. We highly recommend taking the train, just across the Douro in Régua, out to Pocinho for a relaxing lunch and walk around the quaint town before returning. The railway view...

Delightful three night stay
"We stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the 8th floor and was more a suite than a room. It comprised a king size bed, large couch, table for two and a bathroom. This room also had the added benefit of a private terrace/garden with river views. Quality of fitout was of a high standard and also included were robes and slippers. Additional facilities included in the room rate were three pools (and outdoor horizon pool, an indoor swimming pool and an indoor spa), sauna, steam room and a tennis court. In terms of dining there is a pool bar, another bar and a restaurant as well as room service. We ate at all four areas and the food was consistently good as was the service. We also had breakfast each day in the restaurant which had a good range of food and drink. The staff were exceptional and friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Overall an amazing stay. "

"Beautiful property with great views, excellent staff. Convenient walk to town and at least one or two Quinta's (vineyards). Lovely pool and deck. Outdoor patio bar. Only not: breakfast and dinner menu pricey. But food excellent."
