"Sean, We had the best year of fishing in over a decade. The property is awesome, and access to the water is easy. One silly item would be more hooks on the wall to hang clothing. Also, I wasn't sure how to turn on the baseboard heater in the bedroom. I turned on the bathroom and left the door open."

Too early for river sports but there’s plenty of hiking in the area’s many parks, easy access to services with a walk across the bridge to Callicoon (market, restaurants, movie theatre, a few shops) or just be still to watch the eagles fishing for hungry babes in the nest above, river ducks and geese, and small drifting boats with fly fishing folks. The front bedroom is tight and the second is dark...

"We were in town to visit relatives just a few miles away. My group of 4 adults shared this space. The house was adequate for our needs. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. My only negative was that the living room space was small and we had to gather in a bedroom to watch TV. We will definitely return to this home."

We took the advice of the guide and visited Chet’s Place for dinner and visited the nearby lake. Both were great. My family and I had the most wonderful time and would love to return! 10/10 - would recommend!"

"We stayed several days for a wedding with our son the groom and several of his groomsmen. The house is large and was great for hosting our group. For the size the house is very clean and has anything you need for cooking or enjoying your stay. The weather wasn’t great and we were gone a good bit but the hot tub was a hit and also the basement area which had 4-5 beds and pool table which was nice for the groomsmen not to mention the other 4 bedrooms. Plenty of space for all and is fully stocked...

Cozy blankets, plush towels, and everything else you could need is included. The property is very private and realxing. We really can't say enough about how much of a hidden gem this place is!"

"The living room was the star with comfy couches, jukebox, wood-burning stove, game table, and silly hats. Our teens actually turned into humans! The kitchen was well-appointed (even plastic baggies), and there were umbrellas and flashlights. The beds were comfortable. good location near the lake and close to town. The hosts were helpful and welcoming. We got tired of keeping the kitchen wood-burning stove going and how smoky it made the house and our clothing. We didn't prefer the crowded...

"Great cabin. Helpful family on the property. Nice quiet get away with a good supermarket nearby to get your supplies. Feeding the animals was great. Definitely planning a revisit in the future! "
