"We were stuck in an annexe , room was shabby , kettle did not work , staff did not show us the room , just pointed the way , we booked for two nights , only stayed one , felt uncomfortable."

"Beautiful location, lovely breakfasting room and public interiors. Very tasteful. Very good outside areas too even though the actual outside area was quite compact . It worked. The room was tastefully done and quiet, however the ensuite was rather small, beside the fields. Lots of wildlife. The only point I would make is that the dustbin lorry stopped then went right past my window at 6am. as did an early delivery. Luckily I was already awake . Breakfast was lovely. Everything was spotless and good quality. Staff on hand to help. Would stay there again . Overall, a find!"

"Highly recommend this hotel lovely friendly staff on-site car park has chargers for electric vehicle vehicles. Fantastic spa and swimming pool food was superb in the two restaurants. It’s right at the south of Lake Windermere so literally you can walk over to the ferry to do a ferry cruise to Ambleside or Bowness on Windermere Winder - it also has an aquarium and a steam train during the summer month. We didn’t bring our dog, but it is a dog friendly Hotel you really enjoyed our stay and already planning on bringing the dog for another trip "

"Beautiful hotel and facilities. We loved our room - the bathroom was amazing! Heating and hot water broke on Friday so shower/bath was lukewarm and cold room. which spoiled our evening a little, unfortunately. Staff were lovely and resolved it ready for the next day/eve. Breakfast was wonderful on Sat/Sunday with great choice and quality. Surrounding area is beautiful and we made use of the chauffeur service to come back from our evening at the gorgeous (and highly recommended) Royal Oak pub/restaurant in Cartmel. Small touches we loved: the friendliness of staff, champagne on arrival, daily newspapers, dressing gowns, lovely coffee bags in our room, Molton Brown products. Things we’d improve for 5⭐️: toiletries ran out, coffee (decaf only) and milk not replenished on Sat turnabout so we ran out (too late to notice on Sun am); no biscuit treats available with drink- making, bin not emptied so overflowing by Sunday. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Nutwood accommodation as a family. The property was in a great location, peaceful yet accessible, and the space inside was amazing — clean, spacious, and perfect for our group. The garden was another highlight, beautifully maintained and great for relaxing outdoors. One small note is that the parking is limited to space for one car, and the surrounding road appears to be private with restricted parking. However, this didn’t cause us any problems as we were able to fit two cars in the allocated space without any issues. The only downside was that there weren’t many dining options nearby, and there was just one local shop, so it’s best to plan ahead for meals or be prepared to drive out for more variety. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay."
