Me and a friend were in the area for a dog trial. The location was very convenient to the arena. The house was beautifully remodeled with lots of amenities. We would definitely stay there again.
Needed a reprieve from the South Georgia heat so we came up to Lake Rabun a couple of days early to pick up the grands from camp. Lake Rabun never lets us down.
We’ve stayed here on 2 occasions and it’s a very quiet and clean . The parking is tight but can accommodate two vehicles which worked for us . We will be staying there again next year . Close to shopping and water falls .. The contact who we talked to About the propane fireplace not working , got someone out the next day and it was repaired , nice to eat breakfast and looking at the fire. She was very friendly and helpful . It was a great experience.
We stayed for a couple nights at Rabun Retreat. The house is very conveniently located and easy for a regular SUV to get to. We spent all day Tallulah Gorge and had a great time. Only thing to be aware of is if you plan to work from the house the internet is a bit spotty and might not support remote work. Otherwise great stay and our whole group loved it. Very newly renovated house and owner was super responsive to all questions.

Good property but WiFi is not reliable
The property is well maintained and clean.
Good for family relaxations. There are a couple review mention that the wifi is the issue. so I have contacted the host to check and inform her/him that I will be working remotely during my stay for a week and need reliable internet. The host confirm that there is no issue. Just to find out after the arrival that I couldn't use the wifi to work there for the whole 3 days and have to submit urgent PTO. My husband also missed a video call for job interview. The TV also lost connection several times. My son have a hard time with the TV. I reached out to the host. The host refunded a little money for the inconvenience . And later on we got additional charge for fee for extra cleaning because of a dog paw print on sheet. I have been travel and stay at many rental places with pets, I had paid extra for pet to stay but I have not get extra charge for cleaning due to pets because we usually make sure that our pest do not mess up things. I personally not going to stay at this place again.
We had such a lovely time at this cabin! The house is spotlessly clean, and the location is perfect - we felt secluded but still close to everything. The host was amazing and so patient with me when we arrived and I struggled with the door (completely my exhaustion and scatterbrain, nothing to do with the door itself). We were only in town for a couple days for an event but we all discussed planning another trip just to stay and enjoy the area longer.
It was a beautiful home, and we had so much fun. They already had toys for the kids there. And there was so much to do around it. The kitchen was a masterpiece!
Every year, a group of friends take a trip to various locations in the mountains of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia. This has been, by far, the best we have stayed at! From a large kitchen and dining area to a roomy outdoor space on the back deck and a fire pit area. Everything here was just great
Property was great overflow for large gathering of families with kids. 2 adults with 6 children stayed happily, and was as described. Toys and piano where great entertainment in the study, view is lovely and space is nice and quiet.
Very nice house, we enjoyed our stay.. house was clean and equipped nicely, driveway is tight and steep incline to house, but manageable. We would recommend the place to our family and friends .
Our place was great!! She made sure that we had everything we needed & was very clean. A home away from home. I don't get away often but I hope to go back one day. Thank you for everything you did to make for a great stay!!
We loved our stay at this Rabun Retreat! Very spacious for our family of five plus grandparents. The best part was the toys our kids were greeted with! They had things to play with all weekend. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. The furniture could use an update and WIFI was very spotty but otherwise we didn’t want for anything the whole weekend!
The place was spacious and had all kinds of things to entertain our family. The den with all the toys and the TV was awesome! Tons of extra blankets, soap, etc., and also plenty of cookware in the kitchen. The wi-fi was pretty spotty, it went in and out (it's phone line DSL), but getting on the internet wasn't the point of our vacation. The place is right near Rabun lake, and we went hiking in Tallulah gorge, and at two nearby waterfalls (Angel and Minnehaha). Hillside Orchard Farm was right up the road too. Overall a great place.
Our trip to Lakemont exceeded our expectations. Cindy was a great host and the house was perfect for our family and dog.
The house is very spacious including a cozy Den and beautiful master suite downstairs. Two spacious bedrooms upstairs share a beautiful bathroom with wonderful soaking tub. The kitchen / dinning room area feel like a picture from Southern Living. All new appliances and beautiful design. Tons of natural light and a cozy gas fireplace. Family room was the hangout for the boys all week. The house is short drive from 441/23 yet very tucked away in the forest. We had the street to ourselves which was great for dog walks and relaxing. Several waterfalls and trails very close by to explore. Clayton, Sky Valley and Highlands were a close drive as well.
We were a family of 6 along with our dog and had plenty of space. We highly recommend this property. Thank you Cindy for a Christmas we will not forget. Cannot wait to come back!
Our family had an amazing time at this property. It was a great experience getting away from the craziness of city life and getting to enjoy the beauty of nature all around us and the beauty of the small town.
The Lodge was beautiful, clean, and perfectly located for everything we wanted to do, close to town while maintaining the feel of a secluded cabin. The master bathroom was luxury, the open kitchen was a favorite gathering place, and the fireplace upstairs was perfect for morning coffee. Something to add, the water pressure was fantastic, and the hot water was hot. The tips and directions Cindy provided were very helpful, and she had the Lodge stocked with everything we needed. There was so much to see and do, every day was a new place to discover. It was a wonderful two weeks and would definitely stay again.
