Having rented this home several years ago, we knew what to expect, and were not disappointed the second time. This time, we had an 18 month old with us and the long back porch with the locking gate was just perfect for outside play while we rocked away. We always appreciate the well stocked kitchen as we brought every bit of food for meals and snacking so we’d not have to encounter a grocery store. Ok..there was a beer run at some point ! Our concerns of note to the owner would include that there was no coffee pot . There was a French press pot which doesn’t quite help the fact with 4 coffee drinkers. We’d heat water up in a pan ( no tea kettle) and pour it into the press. There was a kuerig machine , but we weren’t told to bring pods for that. The other concerns are as follows: the dock has some weak boards which our son’s foot found and got injured so that needs immediate attention, esp if someone is down there in the evening. The other concern is that your watering system goes off every day around 3:30 but the water just spurts from the head and doesn’t spray. Hate to see that wastefulness and your nice gardens get nothing. We will return again some day to Happy Bear Cove, and thank you for cleaning it in Covid free style. LB
