Wonderful experience at the lodge! The views are breathtaking and the house exceeded expectations. So glad we stayed there, especially in the fall. It’s perfect for fall maximum and lots of great hiking nearby. Highly recommend!

Wonderful mountain get away

We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The home is beautiful and comfortable . The views are amazing! Loved fishing from the dock and using the paddle boat:) We definitely want to come back.

Wonderful time at the lake

We spent a very relaxing long weekend at Kelly’s place and thoroughly enjoyed the house and lake. The lake is small but absolutely perfect for swimming, floating and paddle boarding. The view of the lake from the house and the private dock is gorgeous. Overall, a wonderful place to spend time escaping the heat and enjoying the lake!

Loved our Mountain Time

This property is in a great location with access to Cashiers, Highlands, Blue Ridge Parkway. The property is nestled on a small lake with dock, beautiful patio area where you can enjoy a fire, views, and the water. The house is lovely, spacious, yet cozy, with ample rooms/beds for family. Everything was well stocked, the owners are wonderful to work with. Great stay at Thanksgiving Lidgr!

Beautiful cabin

Lovely and spacious cabin on a quiet lake. The owner has really taken a lot of time to make thier guest feel like they are at home away from home. Everything plus more was provided for our stay. We were able to relax and enjoy time with our family. Our boys loved fishing. We will book again. Highly recommend!

Relaxing on the lake

In a private natural setting, the home overlooks a beautiful lake! Easy access to the water and equipment helps to make the property full of opportunities for a family. There are many comfortable seating areas both inside and outside and the well-equipped kitchen helped to make the visit a real pleasure.

We absolutely loved staying here. It was immaculately clean. My husband and I took the canoe out around the lake. We played games around the big table. Brevard had such a nice little downtown! We'd love to stay again. Thank you!

Grateful for our stay at Thanksgiving Lodge

What an amazing lake house! Our family stayed for an entire week and loved every minute of it. Between the paddle boat, canoe and rope swing, our kiddos were in heaven. Sitting around the outdoor fire pit roasting marshmallows and listening to music while overlooking the lake was just pure bliss. Not to mention all the activities, waterfalls and hiking trails in the surrounding area. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation spot. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Thanksgiving Lodge. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Eason!

Something for everyone

This beautiful property had something for everyone. My 7 year old son advanced his fishing skills while my nature loving 9 year old daughter discovered the creatures of the lake. Just minutes away were beautiful waterfalls for the family to hike to. All while spending most of the time relaxing and absorbing the beautiful surroundings.

Perfect Home away from Home

Truly enjoyed the Thanksgiving Home... the furniture and the layout is perfect for a family. Everyone had their own space and I just loved sitting at the table in the morning sipping tea and looking out over the small lake. My 5 year old granddaughter loved the paddle boat and jumping off the dock. We explored the many waterfalls in the area. We also had smores a few evenings by the lake. Great host...always quick to reply. Thank you.

Beautiful Cabin!

Cabin was very well decorated. Loved the pine beams and floors. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with dishes, utensils, etc. Living room was nice with cozy sofa and two soft chairs. Loved the rain shower! Lots of great views of the lake. Steps to the lake were a bit tricky in the rain but provided walking sticks helped. Caught a nice bass off the dock. Wanted to use canoe but it rained a lot while we were there. A huge shout out to the Easons for the warning of hurricane Hellene. We left two days early on Thursday ahead of the disaster. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Property but no motor boats.

**Notice-The property is gorgeous BUT there are no motor boats allowed on the lake. The closest lake that allows motor boats is approx. 45 minutes away. The owners were super helpful in pointing us to the closest lake and very responsive. The property is very serene with a private lake with rope swing, perfect for the kids. The paddle boat is a lot of fun and the fishing is good too. The fire pit is perfect for s’mores. The distance from the back porch to the dock is 68 steps downhill, the walk back up is a bit exhausting but a good cardio workout. We had a great time at this property overall.

Private oasis with fantastic views

The property is amazing nestled in a private community but a small lake. It's only 10 minutes to any necessities (including pizza) and the cute town of Brevard is less than 30 and Asheville a little over an hour making it the perfect home bar for exploring Transylvania county. Though we spent many a day on the porches and the dock just enjoying the views and the quiet. The house is really well equipped and comfortable. Internet connection is great if you need to take any work video calls or want to stream shows. We grilled nearly every night, drank a pot of coffee every morning (great mugs), and the cozied up on the couches on rainy afternoons. Also the master shower is glorious. One thing to call out is that the property is extremely steep. If you're bringing your pup be prepared to do some hilly walks and bring reflective gear as the roads are narrow. Highly recommend this place!

Nice house a little cramped for 2 families down stairs. All and all we had a good time .

We could only turn TV on upstairs and only with son's account. No instructions that we could find. the fire pit was not working and my son felt the line may have been clogged. Overall clean and nice. Family when all together did feel a little cramped with downstairs where they all slept. We loved having the boats to use. Enjoyed the swimming. Final concern found getting into the housse very difficult. The code was not sent to either my email or phone. Again my son called the owner. Thanks for children

Super Awesome Place!
