I have very mixed reviews of this place, so I’m placing it somewhere in the middle.
This was my first time traveling with my young dogs. One in particular is scared of everything and barks from time to time. I was very nervous about that leading up to the stay and called to see if the hotel could place me in a room away from foot traffic. They said they couldn’t, so I just hoped it wouldn’t be so bad. I get there and they put us in the worst room possible. It was the very first room after entering, so there was constant foot traffic outside even at all hours on the weekend because of the bar. It was a nightmare trying to sleep both because my dogs were stressed and it was just so loud. The walls are paper thin. We even had a drunk person knock on our dog, which was a ton of fun with my dog. lol.
Here’s the thing. I came with two young dogs that had never stayed in a hotel before. They definitely barked from time to time and the hotel didn’t say anything, so I was grateful for that. However, the hotel staff wasn’t particularly friendly (aside from one girl) and seemed like they didn’t like dogs, which was weird for a dog friendly hotel.
The communal lounge areas are absolutely beautiful, but dogs aren’t allowed, so I was unable to use those spaces. They are only allowed in your room.
The room was pretty nice. The maid service was comedic. They lined up the dog toys everyday. Ha ha! Overall though, I don’t think this place can claim to be “dog friendly”.
