"The check-in process was ok. The property did not respond to any of the calls we made in order to confirm that we can do a late check-out. Hotels.com tried contacting them multiple times as well without success. I then received an email that said “ok”. Upon arrival, the manager greeted us and everything was ok and he was helpful despite de language barriers. Property is lovely and worth the money, however, please note the level of cleanliness is not that great. The room we stayed in had spiderwebs in different places, especially the bed area, the shower “door” was incomplete so every time we would take a shower, there would be a puddle as there was no screen to protect it. Unlike other places we stayed in, there was no daily room cleaning or anything, but maybe this is how they operate"

"This hotel was very well kept excellent staff and the room was reasonably priced for a large room. The location was excellent not too far from the Malpensa airport. Breakfast, for a small charge had a large variety of fresh food. The coffee was excellent. The air conditioning was working well and there was plenty of hot water. The bed was wonderfully supportive yet not too firm. Plenty of towels. We had a wonderful stay. Plus the staff was efficient and very. helpful in addition they spoke English."

"Das Zimmer war sehr klein, ohne Fenster, allerdings mit Glastür und Glasfront auf einen Gang und einen winzigen Innenhof. Für so ein Zimmer war der Preis überhöht. Das Badezimmer war geräumig. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes, der Kaffee aus dem Automat hat nicht geschmeckt. Die Dame an der Rezeption war wirklich wahnsinnig nett und hat uns sehr gute Tipps gegeben."

"This is a unique find, we enjoyed the history of the property. Typical Italian streets to maneuver to get to the huge villa and the gate entrance is tricky with a bigger vehicle. The villa rental part is just a portion of the house but plenty of room, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Kitchen good but if you want breakfast order in advance. English is not one of the owners languages but he uses phone to translate. There are no laundry facilities as stated on expedia but the owner generously washed our clothes for us so that tells you what a wonderful host he and his wife are. I would truly recommend this villa."

"This is a fantastic property in a beautiful location.The owner, Sebastiano & his son Guido were so helpful and welcoming to their property, meeting us on arrival & showing us where everything was etc.Any time I had a question, I could message on WhatsApp & get a speedy reply.The property itself is even more amazing than in the photos on the site.There were 7 of us on this trip, and we all had plenty of space.We had wonderful meals in the garden by a lovely tree, and enjoyed swimming in the pool, playing games in the games room and just relaxing. The grounds (garden) are very big, with a lovely 'infinity' pool at the bottom of them.If you are using a car for your trip, the access road to the property is narrow, so I don't recommend you having a huge vehicle.Ranco is a lovely, quiet village on Lake Maggiore and a great base to explore the area (we drove in to Switzerland twice)I cannot recommend this highly enough & hopefully we will get another chance to visit."
