"The location was good, the room was clean and modern, the bathroom was excellent and, because we chose an ocean view room we had wonderful breezes. My only complaint was that the sheets and bedspread were polyester. Which means, even though the room was cool, we were still bathed with sweat. On our second night we requested a cotton blanket instead of the polyester bedspread and we slept very well."

"Shaka Caye is a hidden gem; if you want to have a non-chaotic, very personalized vacation where the staff treat you like you are the only person on the island, Shaka Caye is the perfect location. The staff know you by name, the rooms are kept very clean, the food was absolutely amazing (I will say that the food might have been my favorite part of the trip!), and you have a beach almost to yourself. You will be very taken care of at Shaka Caye! Tricia G."

"Airport shuttle was not arranged. They asked me to whatsapp somebody but they never responded. However the stay was good. Big supermarkets either side and some restaurants walkable. Can walk to town centre. My tour to Altun Ha never arrived so Janny at the front desk called around and managed to book a tour last minute. Next day my Lamanai tour was late and she called to tour company for update. Janny was very helpful talking tour operators after the first one cancelled. Breakfast varies per day from various cooked dishes. If you have early tour pickup you can miss out as does not start till 7.30am "

"The staff were absolutely amazing!!! We had to book as our plane was diverted to Belize. Our transportation was already waiting when we walked out of the airport. The location is so different, which we really loved. Having to take the little boat across the river was cool! The little cabana’s were very cute! Everything we needed plus more. We would stay there again for a few nights!! "
