Lovely well-maintained cottage. Clean and well-equipped.Comfortable beds. Very close to National Park. A great choice to be near park trails as well as restaurants in Chéticamp.
This may be one of our favorite places we have stayed. The property is in pristine condition, and the setting is so peaceful. It is a wonderful place to recover from hiking through Cape Breton. The amenities are vast; Lynn has stocked the home with great detail to attention. There is no doubt that if we are back in the area, we will be staying here again and encouraging others to do the same.
Excellent communication with host. Very clean, modern, well-appointed little house! Lots of sleeping options for our family of 5. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beautiful property!

Quiet, relaxing, everything you could possibly need at the site. Very comfortable beds
This a beautiful property set in a huge garden area which even has it's own flag pole. Loads of room for games if you have children (or adults). There is plenty of outdoor seating with uninterrupted views of the mountains to the rear. The actual property was absolutely immaculate with the owner providing everything you could possibly require for your stay. The owner was very helpful with the directions and check-in process very easy to follow.I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this fantastic property.

This property had everything we were looking for and more. The host was very nice and communicated anything at all we needed. The accommodation is excellent and the location and view are exceptional. We will return.
We really enjoyed our one night stay at Nanook’s Den. It was spotless and has everything you might need. Lynn and her family have obviously put a lot of thought and care into this lovely little cottage. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The house looked amazing, super clean, and the hosts have every little detail thought of. Right down to a full pitcher of filtered water in the fridge! The beds were extremely comfortable. Excellent location too, I hope I have the opportunity to stay there again. Definitely recommend!
We loved this place!!! Really comfortable base to explore that side of cape breton. Kitchen was great, beds were great, outside nice view of mountains and the hosts are helpful and have thought of everything. This was a top notch rental. Highly recommended.
This cute new little cottage was perfect for our family of four during our tour of the Cabot Trail! While we only had a short stop over for the night, we would have been happy to stay longer at Nanook’s Den. Everything we needed was there, no detail was overlooked. Thanks for making our amazing tour even better.

Everything was perfect. I can’t think of anything that needs changes. It was very well designed and organized, it literally felt like home. It includes all the amenities and important things that one would need.
We loved this cute little home nestled in the mountains. Everything was perfect from communicating with the host, to the first steps in the home and our stay! The worst part was that we were only there for two nights. The home is very cozy. It had fast wifi and lots of channels and movies for those days when your too tired to walk and more trails. We have already started planning next years summer holidays and this place is on our list to stay for sure! 10/10 Thank you again!
I couldn't keep my mouth shut up after seeing huge backyard. I was so satisfied with well-organized house for family guest. We didn't have any reasons to complain because hosts already prepared to relax, cook and barbeque. We could enjoy a great barbeque with beautiful sunset. In addition, it was so close to stunning gypsum mine lake and spot for whale-watcing. I strongly recommend the two spots that touched my family if you stay this awsome house.

Not only is Nanook’s Den exactly as pictured and described, it is even more comfortable and lovely. Yes, it is sparkling clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, but somehow it was a perfect warm nest to return to after a day of exploring Cape Breton. We spent 5 nights here, and Lynn checked in with us twice to ensure that we were comfortable and ask if there was anything we might need. She provided an excellent resource booklet of everything about the property, and even the nearby neighbor was friendly! Nanook’s Den is just a few minutes from the entrance to Cape Breton Highlands Park, so we spent nearly every day exploring the Cape Breton Trail and hiked 3 trails within the park. Per Lynn’s suggestion, don’t miss a hike along the Skyline Trail. The original Alaskan naive artwork throughout the home was just lovely. This darling home is a hidden gem…just like its hostess!

Beautiful serene setting. Convenient to Cape Breton. We were here to take in some of the Celtic Colours and it worked well. Just a note I would add for some it might matte is that larger bedroom is up several steps.
