Questionable cleanliness
A member of our family was ill with COVID; I assumed this meant that they would not want us to stay and informed them ahead of time. It was no problem, apparently, she just wantd us to leave the windows open after we left. Not how this works. Did not stay, out of personal responsibility to control infection, but she would have been fine with it. Makes me wonder what other corners they cut here. So - if you stay here, bring cleaning products and carefully disinfect beforehand.

Beautiful rental on peaceful farm setting
It was perfect for me and my two teenage sons. We did not spend much time there because we were constantly on the move. But it was great eating breakfast and dinner in and carrying lunch along with us. Beautifully done renovation. Very unique experience.

Amazing! Perfect! Will be back!
This property was our favorite (by far) during our stay in France. The property was relaxing, well-stocked, and adorable. It is as amazing in person, if not more so, than it is in the pictures. The 3 children in our party loved staying on the top floor an likened it to getting to have sleepover in the Owlry at Hogwarts! I can't recommend this property enough! Property owners/managers were responsive and helpful as well.

A dovecote in the countryside
What a lovely place to stay! The whole family (six of us) absolutely loved the dovecote. It has been beautifully renovated, and is very adequately equipped for six to seven people to stay. We also really enjoyed the location, it is lovely and quiet, and pleasantly rural. The village is small and quaint, abounding in character properties, and the farm adjacent was very quiet and tidy. We also enjoyed seeing cows In the next field and the donkey and Shetland pony, and playing table tennis on the table provided, and the weather was warm enough to tempt us to eat lunch in the garden using the outside table one day.. The many windows in the building provide plenty of light and views, and give a pleasant spacious feeling to the property. We also enjoyed using the wood burner with the wood provided, and it warmed the rooms up well in the evenings. Its hard to think of anything negative to say about staying here, although there was a shortage of one or two things, such as bin bags, and a measuring jug as well as a bread knife would be handy. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to return ourselves in the future.

The gite was the star player
Lovely building, well converted - lots of character. The place is very well equipped. Useful additions would be a DVD player and a bread knife. That aside it is one of the best equipped places we’ve stayed. There are no bars or restaurants in walking distance, but there are excellent supermarkets and shops - so cooking fine food is easy. We were very comfortable.

Beautiful property
We stayed here for 2 weeks and the house is wonderful, everything has been done to a high standard, the bathroom is fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. The dorm room in the loft is also a real highlight that I’m sure kids would love! The house has great views from all sides onto peaceful countryside and everything you could need inside. Set in the grounds of a farm you get your own large fenced in garden that is completely private however, while the garden is completely fenced any small dog could easily get out and with the donkeys on the back field directly connected to the garden this could be a problem for some people. We had to put up some net for our medium sized dog to prevent any mishaps but if your not planning on bringing a dog this won’t be a problem, children would be completely safe in the garden. One other thing was that the seal on the washer was broken which Jodie did make us aware of but did cause quiet a lot of water to run out of the machine (this was also making the wood around the washer smell a bit) and we were not given any extra towels for this so we couldn’t really use it which was a bit inconvenient. On the point of towels, I really feel that for the €11 per person hire you should get more than one towel for a 2 week stay, or at the very least a towel and hand towel. It just felt a bit skimpy given the overall high polish of this unique property. We enjoyed our trips to the nearby chateaus and even got to go the village fete during our stay! I will say we didn’t really find any nice walks or things to do within walking distance so a car is a must. Overall though, if you want something away from it all and don’t mind travelling a bit to see the area I can definitely reccomend this property!

A cosy, quirky, retreat in a great location.
What a find! You must visit this beautifully restored Dovecote not too far from Rouen! The property is set in lots of quiet grounds, very quiet yet a very short drive and close to many stores and amenities. A short drive to Rouen. The renovation work to this historical property is on point and practical, the house has all you need for a cosy stay with a great fitted kitchen, large bathroom and separate toilet, comfortable beds and plenty of storage space to keep everywhere neat and tidy! We thought it may be a cold place however it was the opposite the house heats up very quickly and the log fire is super cosy at night. We came here to stay local and relax for a short week, we did exactly that! The only negative which is hard to find is the WiFi was intermittent at times, we found it to be fine in the day, but on and off at night, this could be it’s rural location but didn’t affect our overall 5 star rating! We are already looking at when we can return here! It was so convenient for us driving from Dieppe! Thank you
