"Lovely hotel , clean and tidy with a beautiful pool and outside area. Breakfast only served but always got something to eat each morning. Rooms cleaned every day which was lovely. Staff very friendly and located close to beach. If I was to return car required as a bit too far to walk to shops etc but hotel does offer a shuttle service which is reasonably priced"

"The view from the busy street is not what awaits you behind the tall shrubbery and through a banana tree tunnel: a clean, gorgeous pool with a refreshment hut; a marble-clad modern hotel that is literally ”squeaky” clean; a large breakfast hall with an extensive breakfast each day, an impeccably maintained rear garden; and a balcony off almost every tidy and spotless room. If the facilities were not enough, it’s a short walk to the public beach, so no parking and meter worries. Finally, the family operators do everything they can to accommodate. (I had a taste for a Negroni at 9pm and the front desk clerk dropped everything and opened the bar), I extended my visit by three nights because it was too good to leave! Bravo!"

"Casale Amati Il Frantoia is a charming, secluded property in a rural setting that offered ample space and privacy for our family of three. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space each morning for coffee and freshly baked pastries from a local bakery. The property has air conditioning and additional fans which were appreciated during a hot weather spell. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well.Situated near Luna, the property is a 30 to 40 minute drive from La Spezia, from where one gets the train to any of the Cinque Terre towns. The host is very personable and did her best to respond to our queries but making contact is tricky for those not on WhatsApp. We felt that we got excellent value for money and would seek to book the property again if returning to the region."
