"This place is a gem! Staff was courteous and goes out of their way to help you. Perfect location in La Jolla to walk to pretty much all the sights, restaurants and shops. The Inn is quaint and clean. Our room had amazing views of the ocean— just across the street-with large windows. We also had a balcony with chairs to relax and view the sea. The rooftop lounge area has seating and a gas firepit area to relax and watch the sunset or just visit. Lobby is stocked with fresh fruit water daily and breakfast was included with our stay. It was well worth the visit! Thank you!"

"We love The Empress Hotel and stay there every time we visit La Jolla. The rooms are spotless and the the breakfast room is delightful and the food is adequate for a free breakfast. Centrally located, with an extremely helpful staff, this is our home away from home!"
