"Had a wonderful view of ocean and room was great. Lot of renovations going on an access to pool and elevators single elevatorsa challenge. When those projects are completed it will be 5 stars for everything"

The Shoal La Jolla Beach

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Close, easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Two queen beds were comfy; the space was roomier than a typical hotel room and had a functional layout. We did not use the pool but it looked small but usable. The parking lot was also small but we found a spot every time we wanted to. Hotel gives you a “token” for each person so you can borrow beach towels, sand toys, chairs or umbrellas. Would recommend this quaint place for those on a budget!"
