"Very comfortable room, great breakfast, very well located for exploring Sarlat"

"Expedia sells this as a 3-star hotel. This is a vacation rental property with no frills. When we landed at the property at 7:30pm, they had left the chalet open with the key in the door (that at least, they communicated with us about), the bed unmade, and no soap or amenities to talk about. When I messaged them, they said that this was a holiday rental property and not a hotel and they did not do beds or provide soap etc. I am not sure how to trust Expedia and their rating system after this....

It is a bit removed from the medieval city, though only a few minutes by car, or an easy walk. We really appreciated the peace and quiet. "

Upon arrival, the receptionist informed us that having four people in a double room was not allowed. I calmly explained that we had never encountered this policy before and asked why we would need to pay for an extra bed, especially since our baby doesn’t even use one.
