"The property was clean, and the staff was pleasant. The communication was a bit off- we booked a twin bed room but ended up with one double. The staff apologized and changed our room. The “aparthotel” concept is a bit odd, and the communication about the parking was a bit tricky- we weren’t told that there were two elevators in the garage below the hotel that only one would get you into the hotel. There was no food or drinks in the hotel, not even a vending machine so at night when we got hungry, the only option was to go out and walk about 5 mins to McDonalds. Not a big deal (we didn’t do it), but be aware there is not even a vending machine. There is water in the lobby, that’s all. The breakfast was realllllly good, in my opinion with many options. More than one would expect at this price point, very very good. Beds comfortable, room very clean, and staff nice. 4 out of 5. Location was fine. Not a super “nice” area, but felt safe enough."

"Bonjour The Desirade seems like a place for French people travelling within France, but if you are from elsewhere you can discover this little gem too. The owners speak French so it was good that I brushed up on my French so that we could communicate a little bit. My husband and I went for our honeymoon and it was perfect for this. It was quiet and peaceful. We made use of the pool almost every day. We liked some of the details like the board games and leaflets about local activities. We wanted a place where we could cook some of our own meals and it had all the items you need for this - pans, crockery, salt, mixed spices, chopping boards. Oh and most importantly: wine bottle openers! Bon voyage!"

"Wir haben im Juli eine außergewöhnliche und sehr erholsame Zeit in dem Haus von Katherine und Pierre verbracht.Die Wohnung ist weitläufig und sehr gut ausgestattet: gute Matratzen, angenehme Decken, schöne Schränke mit großen Fächern, die ganze Wohnung ist geräumig und funktional sehr gut geplant. Besonders die Küche ist exzellent ausgestattet, uns fehlte es an nichts. Hervorzuheben ist der qualitativ hohe Standard der gesamten Einrichtung – nicht Baumarkt, nicht Ikea, sondern auf Langlebigkeit, Robustheit, Geschmack und Sauberkeit ausgelegt. Gegenstände/Geräte waren zumeist brandneu, die Klimaanlagen hielten die Innenräume angenehm kühl. Prima ist die Lademöglichkeit direkt am Hausparkplatz, wenn man ein Elektrofahrzeug hat. Der Garten verfügt über einen wunderschönen schattenspendenden Baum, darunter ein großer Holztisch, wo wir in den Abendstunden gerne saßen, wenn wir den Gartengrill nutzten - ein Traum! Kinder können auf der großen Wiese wunderbar spielen, der Rasen, der mehrfach tags und nachts gesprengt wird, ist weich. Viel Familienspass entstand beim Tischfussball, dem Basketballkorb und auf der Boulebahn. Das Highlight war natürlich das Schwimmbecken, in dem man stehen kann, wenn man 1,50 groß ist und Wasserspielzeug liebt.Zum Frühstück saßen wir auf der Terrasse, wo immer eine erfrischende Brise wehte. Katherine und Pierre haben ein Herz für Kinder und sind tolle Gastgeber, die uns wertvolle Tipps zu Ausflügen, Land und Leute gaben. Es war ein toller Urlaub!"

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 15 jours en juillet dans cet appartement. Il est très bien équipé avec tout le nécessaire : lave-vaisselle, machine à laver, climatisation, sèche-cheveux… Rien ne manque pour passer des vacances confortables.La vue depuis le balcon est très agréable et l'appartement est idéalement situé, à proximité de la plage, ce qui est très appréciable.Un grand merci à Anne-Marie pour son accueil chaleureux. Elle est très sympathique, disponible et réactive en cas de besoin. Nous recommandons ce logement sans hésitation"
