"Stunning and luxurious château . The staff were cheerful and welcoming, dignified and professional without being stiff. The food was fabulous but it would have been nice to have a few more options at dinner especially if were staying more than two nights."

"Hotel is really quaint and done within several very old buildings - as best as possible. Decent accommodations, with the givens of walking up and down numerous stairs, dark hallways, etc. Personnel there ranges from: exceptionally sweet young woman - who carried our heavy suitcases up two steep stairs (no elevator) - to a very unfriendly male. Requests like - making a call on our behalf to a beauty salon - were met with dismay (by the male). The breakfast area could be easily mistaken for a US Best Western hotel. Impersonal. Food as well. The only thing - that was really cool - was the giant mural with the Rabelais character - Gargantua (the gourmand). All in all it is an OK place with strategic location within the downtown."

"Food needs to be improved in choice in line with other hotels on this visit. French hotels food quality and amount has sadly reduced while prices have increased vastly. Wine prices are just robbery. That is a general complaint of French restaurants.."
