"If you’re looking for a self contained retreat experience, this property is awesome. Having its own private beach is a plus for that. It’s an older property but beautifully maintained. If you want to venture off the property, though, that’s a different story. It’s isolated, miles removed from the Kuta Beach scene. In my eye, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, mind you. I found Kuta Beach to be overrun with locals on the weekend and largely deserted during the week. Didn’t like the aggressiveness of the hawkers either. So I was content to stay at the Novotel and relax most of the time. "

"We stayed in the standard 2 bed villa. Bed was decent, pretty firm. Good location, a 6 minute walk to the main food street and about 10 from the sea (you will need to walk another 5 minutes to get to the beach without boats on the sand). The rooms we’re great and the pool was refreshing in the heat, although it was a very small plunge pool so a family of 4 wouldn’t all be able to fit in it at once. The living and kitchen area is all open with no ac so it was pretty hard to relax down there in the day time due to the heat. In the evening you were open to getting bitten so make sure you take some bug spray! Kuta does not allow grab or MyBluebird so be prepared to pay more for private taxis! Breakfast wasn’t great to be honest, it was a little chaotic. The food tasted decent and they will make you a barista drink too. Overall a pleasant stay. The service was brilliant and the staff were so lovely and communicate via WhatsApp, which made everything very smooth!"
