Overall an amazing stay!

Mostly everything was great. Room cleaning needs to improve. Breakfast quality is substandard, specially the pastry items. Staff service and courtesy was top notch. Special mention to Prerna from the restaurant, amongst others, who hosted us brilliantly every time.

We were spellbound with the beauty of the place and the architect of Taj in the mountains. The stay was comfortable and the food and staffs were amazing, especially Anshuman,Raja,Rahman,M.Avtar, Souvik, Prerna goes out of their way to provide the best service and takes care of the need and demands of the customers. uper relaxing enjoyable stay

This is new Taj property opened only in December 2020. The property is at good location overlooking MakaiBari Tea Estate. From valley view room one can see Sun Rise which is beautiful. Rooms are decorated nicely and have a balcony to enjoy surroundings. The front desk, reservation and serving staff is excellent. They are always eager to help you. Only one restaurant is open at present due to Covid scenario but it is sufficient. Their Buffet and ala carte are very good. We being vegetarian did not find much choice on our first dinner but when we drew their attention from next day Chef was good enough to provide ample choices. They have good spa and indoor temperature control swimming pool. They have various activities like Yoga, Tea garden walk, Tea factory visit, Valley trek ( some are paid facilities). They had live music programme at every evening between 7 and 8 PM which was nice. Many open areas to roam around and relax. They are 1 hour away from Darjeeling town but closer to Bagdogra Airport. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend.

Beautiful View and very peaceful place

The property is beautiful and has a fantastic view. Very peaceful. Staff warmth and service is very good. There is not too much to do on the property other then just relax. Also the location is such that there are not many easily accessible places for food or sight seeing around. The travel is a via steep mountanious roads. 2 or 3 night stay is good enough if you choose to visit sight seeing places around too.
