Welcome to Ocean Dunes 1306—your top-floor coastal retreat with one of the most breathtaking views on the island. From the spacious deck, watch the shoreline stretch endlessly in both directions and enjoy front-row views of beachgoers and rolling waves. With the beach access walkway right beside the building, you’re truly just steps from the sand. Picture yourself sipping your morning coffee as the sun rises over the Atlantic, or unwinding with sunset cocktails on the deck—either way, you’ll slip into “island time” in no time.

Inside, this beautifully updated three-bedroom, two-bath condo comfortably sleeps eight. The primary suite features a brand-new king mattress and sliding doors that open directly to the deck. The living room offers plenty of space for everyone, a flat-screen Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a stunning shiplap-accented fireplace.

The kitchen has been completely renovated with custom cabinetry, granite countertops, a subway tile backsplash, and a new oven—fully stocked with everything you need except groceries. Fresh paint, warm new flooring, and thoughtful touches create a bright, inviting atmosphere throughout the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The second bedroom offers a queen bed, the third has two twins, and the living room includes a queen sleeper sofa. Both bathrooms have been updated with new vanities and flooring.

During your stay, you’ll have two covered parking spaces plus one additional spot, along with full access to three outdoor pools (summer only) and the Rec Center across the street. The Rec Center includes a heated indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, fitness room, tennis courts, basketball court, shuffleboard, and a playground. A storage bin for beach gear and a generous supply of household essentials are also provided.

This location places you close to everything: the Kure Beach Pier, Carolina Beach Boardwalk, NC Aquarium, Fort Fisher Civil War Museum, and the Southport ferry. Kure Beach also offers a skate park, disc golf course, tennis courts, and a newly renovated town park.

Spring Break

We came down for a quick getaway and loved our stay. The view off the deck cannot be beat. All beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well outfitted. Dave & his team at A1 property management were very easy to work with regarding questions prior to our trip as well as during our trip. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Views of the Ocean!

This was our first time in Kure Beach, and our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We unfortunately had to endure Tropical Storm Debby most of the week, but we made the most of it. We loved how easy it was to get onto the beach and the views from the deck were breathtaking. We also took advantage of the condo amenities like the indoor/outdoor pools and rec center. We enjoyed the quiet charm of Kure Beach, but it's also nice that you can get to Carolina Beach in about 10-15 minutes if you're looking for more to do.

Lovely time in a great apartment

Here's our experience staying there:- The pre-check-in communications from the management company were very clear and informative.- The check in procedure was very easy with no issues getting in.- The apartment had everything we needed to spend a week there: cooking utensils, cookware, plenty of cups, glasses and dishes. Nice clean sheets and plenty of towels for a family of 5 people to stay there.- While we encountered a hurricane the first day we were there, the property did not receive any damage while several near-by buildings had severe damages.- Few times that we needed to call maintenance (to find out if there is a timeline for power to be turned on due to hurricane), the maintenance answered right away and called back shortly with the information from the power company.- Apartment had plenty of hot water and good pressure to take showers.- Proximity to the beach is great and overall location is excellent being away from the commercial part of the city.- Overall everyone had great time staying there. Definitely planning on coming back next year!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first stay in Kure Beach and we loved it (previously we rented a condo in Carolina Beach from A-1 for a few years). We really liked the location of this condo including the outdoor and indoor pools. Though I was happy to just sit on the deck watching and listening to the ocean waves. It's SO close! You can even lightly hear the waves from the master bedroom. The beds were comfy and the condo was clean. Most stores and restaurants are 10-12 min away, which we didn't mind. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed this condo. The only downside was the very small washer/dryer stacked combo unit, which can only fit about 4 regular towels (not beach towels) and a few wash cloths. But at least it had a WD. We also wish it had a more modern single brew coffee machine that used K-cups, instead of an old school drip coffee maker. My husband and I prefer different coffee strengths/flavors, but we had to make a whole carafe, which is also less convenient to clean. But that's a minor quibble. Overall it's a very nice condo with a killer view.

Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed many aspects of the property from proximity to the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, the condo itself was nicely appointed and clean. Outside of several of the buildings looking a bit weathered with some rust spots on the balconies exterior but otherwise in great condition. Beach is quiet (which is great compared to Carolina Beach) but it's a bit of a haul to stores (10-12 minutes) and a few restaurants close by but most are closer to Carolina Beach. Surf was a bit stronger than other locations we have stayed in Carolina and Florida, but when the tide rolls out there was a sandbar 30 yards out which was 2 inch deep water and great for families/kids to hang out. Close to the aquarium which we really enjoyed. Overall, highly recommend.

Absolute great location near end of the island. Condo was very clean , updated and decorated nicely. The only downside was small bathrooms with older showers. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay. Loved the balcony and balcony furniture with an unbeatable view.
