"It is a pretty average hotel and in many ways way below average. The location is good and the views are breathtaking but the hotel itself is poorly maintained and the staff seem to just go through motions. "

"So many kind words to say about Spice Tree. First: how many establishments have you ever been too that the manager of the Resort will ride with you to the hospital. FYI do not drink the spring water in the National Park in Munnar. He rode with our taxi driver to hospital, he stayed with me the whole time. I can never thank him so much for his help. 3rd the staff there was perfect. From the reception and room cleaners, and then to the grounds cleaners. Everyone welcomes you with an open heart.
I will have to say as tourists, we must always do better. Please tip the waiter staff, to the room cleaners. They work hard and deserve the respect we get as tourists from the Spice Tree.

"I really loved the hotel. We had a very good stay and I would love to come back. The room was very comfortable and the furniture modern and stylish. I also really appreciated the design and the architecture of the hotel and of course the location! There is also a list of activities that are offered which I thought was a lovely idea to further engaged guests in the overall experience. Unfortunately, because of heavy rain, most of the activities were canceled when we were there. The only details I think needs addressing is the lighting in the bathroom which is too dim, especially by the vanity. It’s not possible to put make up on or to shave adequately in such dim light. I believe this should be addressed to make your hotel near perfect!! Thank you 😊 "
