The Uto Yagura turret (foreground), on the other hand, survived the quake and remains intact.

Great staff who are multilingual at reception, spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast was good with view to Kumamoto castle, only drawback were the change of attitude from duty staff when breakfast closure starts from 9:30 to 10am, they will keep reminding you as an act to rush you out as they are closed at 10am for cleaning. Best onsen by far especially the outdoor ones, be good to provide facial wash pack in guest rooms if possible.

We have great experience staying in this Hotel. The room is spacious and well designed for 4 people. Enjoyed the roof top Spa , the breakfast bar also serves quality food 💕with great views. Nice stay. It had all the basic needs although no coffee. It was conveniently located highly recommended. Note the near by car parks are calculated every 12 hrs, when we parked it was 2400 yen each day.
