"The place was great. It was a self serve style but everything worked well and there was lots of extra's by the coffee maker and it really looked historic. I'd highly recommend it and would stay again."
300 ft lakefront · Sauna · Hot tub · 2 treehouses · Firepits · 10 private acres
10/10 Excellent
"Great place for large groups, especially if you rent both houses. The interiors are really nice. The showers, beds, common rooms and kitchen are all updated, and they are clean. There is always some worry about whether the amenities are not as good as the pictures, but the firepits, the grills, the sauna and the hot tub are all set up very well and are great to use. The hot tub especially is top of the line. The host was very accommodating, good communication and easy to work with. Just don't expect a beach or much of a swimming area on the property, especially late in the summer due to the natural growth in the cove. But the large lake is easily accessible and will be very enjoyable if you bring a boat and park at the private dock. "
"It was a great place that we chose. Not many complaints. Weird neighbor people that showed up one time and said they were going to dump a ton of chemicals in the lake to kill the Lily Pads, not environmentally friendly. The house next door is up for sale and that is where it came from. I would suggest putting blinds in the two windows (Master and above room). I didn’t like the gravel, it tracks in and can dirty the rugs in the entry way. We found some pre-existing undergarments in the two bedrooms across from each other on the top level. Water bottles and other things. We left them there. The grill is a mess and myself owning 3 of them in different varieties, that are used all the time, I maintain and empty grease traps. The first time using the grill, it flamed up and I didn’t want to use it. After one little rain fall the grease trap filled up with water and leaked on the concrete below, I spent my own money to clean it better than we arrived. A grill cover is BENEFICIAL! The grill still needs to shop-vac’d out. I didn’t use the one on-site to clean it. Chlorine levels on the hot tub dyed everyone’s suits and the water level wasn’t where it should be. I filled the tub upon leaving to the expectant level. All in all, I would say the home, rates in the 9’s out of 10. We did fail to start the loaded dishwasher and forgot to take out the trash inside the kitchen only. We wanted to just make sure with 5 kids we didn’t miss anything. My apologies! "
