Location is excellent, tucked away from busy port where the boats and yachts dock yet on a walking distance to excellent restaurants and entrance to the beautiful national park. The owner and his wife were so gracious and welcoming — and able to get the place ready for us in short order. The apartment is very charming and a lot more spacious than it looks online. "From check-in to check-out, the staff were amazing and very friendly. The property is about 10-15min from old town and is very relaxing. It has plenty of pool areas to enjoy the beautiful views. We didn’t see many kids, but the ‘adult only’ rooftop pool bar and grill was very quiet and relaxing. We had dinner at the restaurant a couple times and it has live music til 10pm. The breakfast was also was a surprise as it was a long spread of items and beautiful ocean views. All-around, this property was amazing and would definitely stay here again!"

"I should start by noting that Hotel Kompas is not in old town as we were with some people who did not understand how big and spread-out Dubrovnik is. With that said, our stay at Hotel Kompas came at just the right time in our trip. We were tired when we arrived here and this was the perfect place to recharge. Situated on a cliff with direct access to the bay, it is really impressive. You enter on the top floor and everything else moves down the hill toward the bay. The views are really beautiful. We had a room with a balcony and could not get enough of the views. The amenities were also excellent. If you want drinks and food with a view, they have multiple choices. If you want to lounge in the pool, it overlooks the bay. If you want spa amenities, there is a sauna, steam room, indoor pool, etc. The staff is really friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable. It was a great stay."
