Pleasant staff, happy hour lasts about 5hrs, rooms were excellent, pool was a bit busy/noisy with kids but the pool in the sister hotel next door was great. Beach ok 5 mins down the hill. Shopping precinct directly next door with a few touristy shops and a couple of restaurants which were decent. Mini mart on site until late, not pricey. Bus stop into Dubrovnik Old Town at the top of the drive €2.5 (it gets busy but not many people on it by that stop - takes 20 mins) Seemed like a pretty good hotel for the price.

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely excellent, with an outstanding variety of food and plenty of choices for everyone. Everything was delicious and very well prepared. A huge compliment also goes to the restaurant staff, who were always lovely, friendly, and welcoming. Another great feature of the hotel is the children’s playroom. It is a wonderful space for little ones, with plenty of toys and activities to keep them entertained, which was definitely a big plus for us. A very special thank you to the hotel receptionists, Jerko and Marija, who were truly wonderful. They were extremely professional, kind, helpful, and accommodating in every possible way. They made us feel very welcome and were always ready to assist with anything we needed. Overall, we had a really pleasant experience and I am very happy with our stay.

5 of us in 2 very clean and modern interconnecting rooms. Staff couldn’t do enough to help us and facilitate any requests Lots of variety at breakfast and dinner. Plenty of seating area and while to was busy always plenty of food Maro world is super for kids. It’s fantastic, we had 3 kids ,8-13 and they all enjoyed it Pool always busy but we managed to get beds each time and Oliva bar was a lovely lunch option Drinks are expensive but so is everywhere in Dubrovnik We loved the location, close to souvenir Shops and mini markets, close to Copacabana beach and we walked to sunset beach as well with dining options along the walk and swims along the way Would recommend this hotel to anyone with kids .. it was super

Fantastic hotel for those with children. We went with a 1 year old and the facilities were amazing. Especially Maro World which was exceptional. Also it was great for gluten free, with a dedicated area at breakfast. Also there are multiple restaurants around the hotel that cater for gluten free.

Rooms and hotel was up to date and very clean. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of variety. Staff were always attentive and helpful. Very family oriented. Exterior grounds were quite beautiful. Some areas need some attention. Nice pools and beaches. Oliva resteraunt by pool and pool bar were excellent. #6 bus bus with a stop nearby was very convenient to get to old town and other places. Long, fairly steep walk to the Copacabana beach. A golf cart shuttle would be be very helpful for older people and people with mobility issues.

The rooms were clean and modern. We only had 2 people in each room. Even though they allow 3 in a room it would be tight if it were 3 adults. The staff were all amazing, so friendly and helpful. It wasn’t super busy mid June so we were able to check in early and check out late which helped so much with lining up with our travel plans. We loved the pool area and swim up bar and had a good lunch by the pool one afternoon. Pleasantly surprised there was a refrigerator in the room. The only negative was that there wasn’t a market in the hotel or nearby we could buy sodas and waters at. Would stay again!

Just got home from our first stay at the Valamar Tirena hotel and there isn’t really anything about this hotel that I could fault. It has everything you could possibly want or need, the pool & kids club being my daughter’s favourite! The Breakfast buffet was included, which we enjoyed each morning and we also tried the evening buffet, which was just as good. The staff were all very friendly (this seemed to be a running theme with all Croatians!) and always happy to help with any queries I had. The hotel is in the perfect location. 5 minute walk to the beach or 20 min walk to the town. There is a bus stop at the top of the complex, which came in handy for a day out in Old Town. Hoping to visit again soon.

This hotel was an excellent choice for a trip with kids. The activities center for children was a huge success for kids of all ages. There are a lot of options in that building for kids of all ages. The buffet breakfast and dinner had a lot of food options. I highly recommend upgrading to the half board because eating out in Dubrovnik is fairly costly. The pool area was great. The bus to town was easy to navigate. You can purchase bus tickets right at the hotel. The hotel is about 45 minutes from the airport. We called the hotel to arrange transport which worked out great! The rooms were great, well maintained and roomy. We had our three boys in an adjoining room. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with kids.
