We had a great stay! It was just a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed every day of our trip. It is a nice quiet neighborhood. We'd definitely stay here again!

Lovely little place with all the amenities. The price was comparable to others in the area, but you get so much more bang for the buck in the northern part of the island, I think I would choose to stay up there next time.
Location of this property was amazing, since all we wanted to do was swim and sun. Best beaches. The AC was great to have, and there were many nice extras (chairs, umbrellas, etc)!

Nice condo. Great view of the ocean. Good location on the island where you can get to both far west and far north in an hour or less. Well stocked kitchen. A/C worked perfectly. Great beach chairs. Would definitely recommend for a great stay on Kauai!
We had a fantastic stay at Hale Kahanalu, and it was everything we hope it would be, especially the location which is steps away from Poipu Beach. We would visit the beach often after coming home from exploring the island because of how close it is. Communicating with concierge via the RentalHost app was super convenient.

We came to poi pu to see the other side of Kauai. We usually stay in Hanalei. Really like the apartment location so close to beach. AA meeting on beach 2 minute walk. Sea turtles on beach 2 minute walk. Monk seal on beach two minute walk… perfect location at affordable price.
My mom and I stayed here for six nights and it was the perfect spot for us--cozy, great view, enough space with the two bedrooms, very functional kitchen, and a FANTASTIC location (which is mainly why we booked this unit). The team at Kauai Exclusive Realty was also so helpful, responsive, and accommodating--we truly appreciate their communication and customer service. It was tough to leave a few days ago and I already can't wait to stay here again someday!
Overall, comfortable, clean unit. Perfect location near Poipu Beach Park. Kitchen stocked with all the needed amenities. One thing to consider is the unit is on the third floor of the building and there is no elevator.
The unit size was a good for the 3 of us. Nice quiet street close to Poipu Beach. A/C worked great. Beach chairs, umbrella & cooler were nice to have available for us to use. The kitchen chairs were very rickety, & difficult for my 81 yr old mother. Need new/more saucepans/frying pans. Need dishtowels in the kitchen, had to use bathroom ones.

Roomy, clean & confortable 3rd Floor condo. No elevator, but not a problem for us. Might be for mobility-challenged guests. The view alone is worth the walk-up. Wonderful cross-ventilation on days when A/C can be turned off. Kaua’i Exclusive mgt. team is quick to respond to concerns. Well-appointed kitchen & bath. Lots of storage all around the condo. Refrig had to be replaced just as we were to check in at 3 p.m., so our check in was late. Also, the toilet tank mechanism had to be replaced so the water would stop properly. Technician Kurtis dropped by twice to resolve the issue successfully. A/C units should be inspected & cleaned out on a more regular interval; the bedroom A/C failed before we arrived & needs refurbishing, according to Technician Maka, who was kind enough to try to get it to work for us. Parking slot can be tricky until we figured out entry into the parking pad should best be negotiated at an angle to avoid hitting the steel posts. Special mahalo / thanks to Jane, Jeanette, Jenna & Patrick w/ Kaua’i Exclusives management company for ensuring such a memorable stay for us! A+ guest service!
The property was cute, the location was desirable, and the check-in process was seamless. Our only serious issue was that the property was infested with rats. We heard the rats scurrying through the walls and ceiling, which made it hard sleeping at night (we have videos). When we’d wake up, all of our food was destroyed and the counters were covered in rat droppings. This continued for the 10 days we stayed there. Two of the days we fell ill, which very well could’ve been from the rats getting into our food.After contacting the host, they had someone set up traps, but the traps were too small for the rats. We had to spend our own money buying traps that were the right size. We ended up catching and disposing several rats (we have pictures).We spent a significant amount to stay here, and we believed it wasn’t fair having to pay that much money to stay in a place infested with rats. We raised this concern with the host, who said they’d credit us 100, to which we still haven’t received. However, the 100 wouldn’t even cover the cost of all the food we had to throw away, not to mention the lack of sleep and peace of mind we lost on this trip.I’m sure the host will respond saying they’ve addressed the issue with the rats, which is great. What’s not great, is how unfairly compensated we were after spending so much money to stay in a rat infested room.
Hale Kahanalu truly is “steps from the beach” and a delightfully modest, clean and comfortable place for four good friends place to stay.
Upon arriving, we appreciated the clearly marked parking and found our way upstairs to Unit 6.
The open kitchen/dining bar is large (easy for two couples) to navigate, team cook, enjoy chatting and eating. The gift coffee and cookies were a nice welcome touch.
While the kitchen is well equipped, it would have been nice to find small basic amenities like salt and pepper. We’d already been to the grocery, so ended up asking a local restaurant for a few to go packets of spices to make do. No great tragedy, but worth being aware of if you intend on eating in more than out. Which, by the way, is infinitely more affordable!
Bedrooms and beds are quite comfy. Ceiling fans and a/c all help move the island air.
The bathroom is located in the hallway outside the bedrooms. I’d been told by the management it was a Jack and Jill. Thankfully, it is not. (A better photo on the website showing the hall and the three separate doorways might help future quests understand the lay out.) Plenty of cozy big towels were supplied - and how about that huge shower!!??! Very nice.
We didn’t watch tv all, but did appreciate the beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella and the cooler for picnics.
I had to call management twice - once for clarity on where to park a second car (along the street) and once about the dishwasher. They were responsive and very kind.
