Poipu Sands #427 - Oceanview 2BR Condo with AC, Beach & Pool Access

Poipu Sands #427 is a luxury 2 bedroom condo with 2 large master suites, each with king beds, ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning for your enjoyment. This is a very lovely property, with beautiful ocean views from the lanai and the interior of the unit. Kitchen is fully up to date and offers plenty of room and amenities.

Private tennis courts and a large pool that is never crowded are just two of the great things about the Poipu Sands complex. The Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa is located due east of the property and is absolutely gorgeous. Many nice restaurants and things to do, morning coffee, evening hula shows and music! Happy hour on the lanai and the world class Poipu Bay Golf course is a 5 minute walk away. Shipwreck Beach is located just out the front door and just a short stroll to the sandy beach. Poipu Sands #427 is a spacious and up to date 2 bedroom condo that you will find meets every expectation for your Kauai dream vacation!

This property also includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, and a beach umbrella for your enjoyment.

What to Expect During Your Stay at Poipu Sands in 2024-25:

Roof replacement construction activities Monday through Saturday, but not on Sundays, during evening hours, or before 7am. Official working hours are from 7:30am – 6:00 pm. You should expect to hear noise and see workers installing new roofs per the schedule above. There will also be construction equipment and supplies on site. Construction will be limited to the buildings as noted above to minimize the disturbance to the rest of the property as much as possible.

SAFETY ZONES:

Guests are advised to be alert when encountering yellow caution tape, barricades and/or orange cones as they will designate work areas on or around buildings.

PARKING: Some parking areas will be offline during the entire project, others near buildings as construction necessitates. At this time, we have not been made aware of parking restrictions for building #4.

ENTRANCES: Unit entrances and lanais may be temporarily closed for safety. Outdoor furniture is to be removed during construction on building #4 (October 28th to December 9th 2024).

PERSONAL SAFETY:

As with all construction, guests need to be diligent and alert when walking around the active construction site.

Policies on Savings During Roof Replacement at Poipu Sands at Poipu Kai:

Valid on 4-night minimum stays between September 9th to December 9th and January 27th 2025 to March 3rd 2025. Promotion may end at any time. Standard payment terms apply. It cannot be combined with any other discount. Additional processing and cleaning fees apply per reservation. All rates are subject to change at any time and do not include the Hawaii State of General Excise Tax (GET) of 4.72%; Hawaii StateTransient Accommodation Tax (TAT) of 10.25%, and a County of Kauai Transient Accommodation Tax (Kauai TAT) of 3%. Great location on property, next to Hyatt, so many walking path options to Hyatt, shipwreck beach and poipu beach. Great home base, very comfortable. Management company qas very heloful as well.

Terrific condo. Well stocked, beautiful ocean views. Close to many great beaches on the south shore. This was our 3rd time staying in this condo and will be back again very soon. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous place!

We absolutely loved this rental. It was so clean and beautiful with wonderful decor. The view was amazing and the location ideal. There was construction happening during our stay, which we were made aware of beforehand. It wasn't terribly obtrusive but it did get pretty loud. But we still had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

Best balcony with ocean view!

We loved our stay at this property! Very clean and had all the amenities, great location with walking distance to beach and walking paths. And one of my favorite parts: the HUGE balcony with ocean views, lounge chair and high top table to eat meals at. Great value for the amount of space you get. Feels private. Highly recommend!

Wonderful trip!

We had an amazing stay! The condo was absolutely fantastic! The view was stunning! The condo had everything we needed. We loved Puka Dog and Da Crack for fairly cheap eats and seeing the turtles on Poi’pu Beach each evening. Mountain Tubing and the Rum Safari Tour were both an absolute blast. We did a Resort Pass to the Grand Hyatt right next to the condo one day and that was so nice. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

The location was great. No air conditioning which didn’t realize but they produced fans which wasn’t great but worked. Restaurants are wonderful. Beach House favorite.

Beautiful stay and great location!

We enjoyed our stay in Kauai. The condo was perfect for my husband and adult daughter and her boyfriend. The separate bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom was great! We ended up eating out only once as we preferred to cook and eat in the condo out on the lanai where we could enjoy the sound and view of the ocean. The kitchen was well appointed. We made use of the cooler, umbrella, chairs and boogie boards! The condo was comfortable and clean. We didn’t miss the AC since we just opened the windows to let the sea breezes flow through. Thanks for a great stay!

One of our concerns was no air conditioning but they supplied fans and we could air out the condo in the evening so it was comfortable. The bbq’s outside are brand new and a short walk. The rental company was usually quick to respond to questions. Unfortunately, after paying for a late departure it was cancelled on us two days before our departure. They did set us up at the athletic club to store our belongings and gave us a refund but it hampered our last day plans due to the inconvenience.Would definitely stay again it is a great location and quiet grounds, short walk to shipwreck beach for sunrises.

Great ocean view with close proximity to Grand Hyatt Kauai

Great place to stay, view was amazing -definitely has a 70’s vibe to it. The couch was very comfortable. Bedrooms could use some updating, Listing says AC but need to read the particulars/fine print as it was just portable AC units in the bedrooms. Beach towels were available to use. Pool was great. Very close to the Grand Hyatt which has great restaurants and amazing beach. Coffe was not provided so make sure you bring your own.

The apartment is beautiful and well maintained. Location is great in Poipu, close to the malls and walking distance to the beach. The view is amazing and sometimes you can even hear the ocean. Loved our stay there!

Nice enough, but needs some things

Condo is described as luxury. it’s nice, but luxury it is not. AC is only by portable units in bedrooms only. Bathrooms, kitchen and living area can get warm. Yes, there are ocean breezes if the doors or open, but it was misleading IMO to market it has having AC when the entire unit does not. On a 5 star scale, it is probably more like 3 3/4 stars. Nice, yes. Luxury, not really. The Grand Hyatt next door is where I would stay in the future.

Pleased & Enjoyed Stay At This Beautiful Property.

I was very happy staying at this property. Some of my favorite things about the property was the ocean view from the lanai. It was wondrous to just step out and see the water from the lanai. I appreciated having the washer/dryer; the 2 master bedrooms were great. If we ever visited Poipu again I would consider staying here in the future.

Wonderful stay

Our family had a wonderful time in Kauai, and we enjoyed staying in this condo. It is a great location, and the kids especially enjoyed the pool. One suggestion: Some of the other condos had beach items to borrow, such as Tommy Bahama chairs and hard-sided coolers, and having those available would have been nice. No complaints though.
