"Right next to Hansaring station easy access to Köln and Düsseldorf Airports, 15min walk to city centre. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was fresh, excellent coffee machine. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"Clean room. Temperature could only be adjusted upto 19 degrees. Room was very warm. Windows can only be tilted opened, so no chance of ventilation. No coffee machine in the room. "

"No pool or activities for the children that we found. Didn't have the opportunity to use the pigeon post bar, although it looked lovely. "

"Gorgeous room. Great view. Comfortable bed. Great location. Really enjoyed our stay despite a couple of downsides: We needed a bed for a teenager, despite impressions from our booking that it might be a proper bed, it was a cot that was rolled in. incredibly long time to get hot water in bathroom, very wasteful. With all the restaurants in the hotel, it would be nice if there were a place just to get coffee in the AM. "

"The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. My daughter’s ankle was severely bruised when we arrived. She was immediately given a place to sit with a towel and bag of ice. The staff attended to her every need. We arrived before check in. No problem. The housekeeping staff was asked to prepare our suite as soon as possible. It took about 20 minutes and we were escorted to a beautiful suite where she continued take care of her ankle. It was first class service in so many ways. We were spoiled with every expectation being met. The hotel is centrally located to the Alt Stadt (Old Town). The twin dome Cathedral, the main railway center, restaurants, brand name boutique shops, lined the quaint streets. My favorite authentic German restaurant and pub is Früh also located within a short walking distance. "

"Das Hotel hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Man bezahlt etwas mehr als anderswo, bekommt allerdings auch etwas dafür. Unser Zimmer mit Blick auf den Rhein hat uns sehr gut gefallen, es war sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber und auch ruhig, wenn nicht gerade auf dem Flur von anderen Gästen die Türen laut geknallt werden. Im Hotel wurden gerade Zimmer in einem anderen Flur renoviert, das hat nicht gestört. (Vor dem Fahrstuhl lag diverses Baumaterial herum.) Das Schwimmbecken hat uns sehr gut gefallen, es war ausreichend groß und es gab genügend Liegen dort. Am Frühstücksbuffet hatten wir wirklich überhaupt nichts auszusetzen, es war sehr reichhaltig und sehr vielfältig. Beim Frühstück und auch sonst immer war das Personal immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder."

"I have stayed at the Dorint multiple times in the past and have always looked forward to returning, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. Upon check-in, I was assisted by Corinna Submann, and the interaction was unprofessional and unwelcoming. I felt as though I was being accused of attempting to underpay for my room due to the reservation showing one person. Prior to arrival, I had messaged the hotel indicating that there would be two guests and that I required two beds. The room I was initially assigned was a superior room with only one bed. As I was traveling with a coworker, this was not acceptable. I returned to the front desk and was downgraded to a smaller room with two beds. The interaction at the desk during this exchange was again unfriendly. I had booked and paid for what I understood to be a higher-category room and requested a credit to reflect the downgrade and the fact that the room did not meet the expectations of my reservation. I was told this was not possible and that it was Expedia’s responsibility. After spending several hours communicating with Expedia, they informed me that any refund or adjustment was the hotel’s responsibility. No resolution was offered. In addition to the room issues, several aspects of the hotel were below the standard I expect from a four-star property: - The main entrance door was not functioning. - Lobby furniture had been removed. - Tiles in common areas were cracked and in poor condition. "
