"We had the most wonderful stay at Post am See. Ate at both of the properties, restaurants, and have nothing but great things to say about both particularly the fish! "It is a very good choice for a basic 1-2 night stay in the area near Gmunden. The room was modern, clean, comfortable. Breakfast at the outside restaurant 2 minutes from the hotel was very good. This is a hotel without a front desk. When we had a problem with our room, we called the emergency phone number at 10PM. The lady that answered was extremely nice and helpful and gave us a new room in 5 minutes. The tech-based automated check-in procedure was BAD. We booked through hotels.com, immediately got a message from the hotel saying we will get check-in instructions 3 days before our stay. No check-in instructions arrived. I tried the check-in section on their website -- it did not function. I called them on the phone -- the person was very nice, said they have a problem with one of the tech providers but, no worry, there are check-in terminals at the hotel. We arrive at the hotel, tried the first check-in terminal and we get a message that the system does not recognize our reservation. We were about to call them on the phone when my partner suggested to try the second check-in terminal and this one worked smoothly. In summary, it is a nice hotel with good value for money, but, if you rely to technology to replace humans, the technology BETTER WORK otherwise it is a poor customer experience."

"This is a beautiful property! I highly recommend a room with a balcony and view of the river. The rooms were modern, clean, a wonderful shower and relaxingly quiet. We used the spa in the evening and it was perfect-clean and refreshing. The breakfast in the morning was the best we have had in Europe! The selection was very big, coffee amazing and such care with our entire experience. The only thing we were sad about is that we inly stayed one night bc of other travel plans"

"Excellent hotel to stay in the central upper Austria region. Lovely restaurant on the main level. Very clean. We were upgraded to the spa room on the top floor, which was incredible. Huge room with a sauna inside the room, unreal! Turned the sauna on in the morning, which only took 15 min to heat up. The entire room smelled aromatic. Afterwards we enjoyed the breakfast, which was qualitative with amazing views of Steyr. A mobile a/c unit helped keep the room cool, but we had to fill it with water in order for the cooling function to work. Quite rooms, relaxing vibes."
