I will begin by saying the room was clean. Other than that, this was a very poor experience. The hotel entirely unmanned. I checked myself in and was allocated room 101 which had a vending machine outside the door, the noise of the refrigerator unit was audible inside our bedroom. This competed with the sound of traffic from the main road the hotel is built directly on. Combined with these two irritants was the bathroom light which is motion sensor controlled. This shone through the glass door whenever one of us used the bathroom. The result was I slept very little. Breakfast was almost €16 per person paid in advance or €18 on the day. Regrettably I paid when I checked in. The buffet was of the lowest quality I have had in many years. Orange juice was rehydrated concentrate, the water offered was clearly tap water, yogurt was thin and cheap, fruit was tinned fruit cocktail and the bread was of one kind and of the lower order. The only hot offering was a hot plate of fried eggs that had turned to rubber. All served by one surly member of staff. The final insult is there is no official bag storage policy so I was had to make private arrangements for our luggage to be stored until our train that afternoon. If none of this is of concern to you, be sure to book but don’t pay for breakfast. There are multiple option within 5 minutes of this hotel who will show you a better side of the Austrian hospitality we have enjoyed elsewhere. Admont nearby is full of better places to stay.

So much for a digital check in

The check in experience totally ruined the stay for us at this hotel. We arrived at the given check in time 2 p.m. but the room was not ready. Since this was a fully digital check in experience, it felt frustrating. We also reached out to support by phone and email, but the help and quality of the service was to a minimal.

Attention, l’établissement n’est pas climatisé. Mis à part qu’il n’y a pas de personnel (self check in) et qu’on n’avait pas de savon à mains, la chambre était spacieuse et la salle de bain partagée était géniale pour l’utilisation à deux!

Leider gab es in der Dusche kein Duschgel. Nachricht an Betreiber, rufen sie die Notfallnummer ! 2 Nacht wieder keine Duschgel ob wohl das Zimmer gereinigt wurde Naja soll nichts schlimmeres passieren , aber sonst kann ich weiterempfehlen wenn sie nicht lärmempfindlich sind
