Very close to the Ichikawa station. Hotel is super clean and is basic but has everything you need. Fridge is larger than usual business hotels and room is spacious. Chose this hotel for the separate toilet and bathroom, and the sliding door that separates the beds from living room area. Although self-check in, there are staff on site who can help if needed. Super friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Although you have to check in via a tablet, it was quite easy after trying a couple times. Loved the hotel room, very roomy compared to a business hotel. Easy to get around to find eateries, etc. Had a nice time!

Rakuten Stay Kokura was clean, modern, and efficient. It was a very comfortable stay, and very convenient for access to the JR station and shopping and dining in the nearby shotengai. Would use a Rakuten Stay again.

This is like an express hotel with an automated check in via tablets in the lobby. At the conclusion of your check in, an agent will face time to confirm and answer any questions. They have English speaking agents for foreign travelers. The room was compact bur efficient. You use a key code to enter the building and your room. A short walk from Kokura station and the castle park, there are a lot of dining options and shopping nearby.

Good location, it's walking distance from the main shopping and dining area. Convenient store just around the corner. The rooms are big and clean. It has refrigerator, microwave, sink, and portable stove for cooking. Also have hangers for hanging clothes. The bathroom and toilet size are big too. The water was strong and hot water was stable. Good choice at this price if you are driving. If you take trains, it might be a 15mins walk from station.

Our Favorite Hotel in Japan

This hotel had no desk clerk, but we were able to figure out how to check in and get the room lock code. The room was large by Japanese hotel room standards. It felt like a small apartment. The area had many restaurants and shopping areas close by. The laundry room had four washer/dryers that did an excellent job. They even automatically dispensed laundry detergent, so we didn’t have to go find any at a convenience store.

The room was large and new looking. Very clean as well as a big bathroom. Well equipped with comfortable bed. Very happy with location close to main train station with lots of stores. Easy self check-in. I couldn't be happier except for the terrible Wi-Fi. Had to struggle with that for the 3 days I was there. If it wasn't for the Wi-Fi, everything would've been perfect.

The room is not bad, but the system with nobody inthe front desk clearly does not work. People are not ready for that. We had difficulties the enter and whenI was going to buy my breakfast there was a man sleeping in the front desk, clearly unable to enter in his room.

The check-in process was not smooth and did not receive the information until the day of check-out and was very confusing. There is no front desk and no personnel other than a virtual help desk which is inside the hotel and only accessible if you have a code which they did not provide
