"I was actually pleasantly surprised for a no frills lodge, it had a kitchen with fridge and freezer, a Kuerig coffee maker, yes i said it a Keurig like those other hotels with the janky coffee maker and the horrible pouch ground coffee. It was nice to wake up to a nice cup of coffee. TV had nice selection of channels even though I was mostly on the lake but nice to know I can watch TV if I wanted to. Cody did our check in and was awesome, I was so nice to deal with and made you feel at home. The housekeeping staff were also so nice. It is also only minutes away from everything, restaurants, lake, casino, bike riding, it is a great spot to lay your hat. If you are looking to lay your head down for a reasonable price while your spending the day at the lake or the casino, this is the place. Thanks Cody and staff for a pleasant stay."

"The property is cute. Smaller than I thought. The upstairs ceiling was really close. Kids would think it was really fun up there. No screens on the windows upstairs so it would get stuffy in summer. My first experience renting, so it seemed a bit pricey to me. I liked that it had a yard, however you share with the neighbors, and we had a bit of an issue cause we both had our dogs. Communication with the host was great!The cabin is decorated super cute. Very clean and quiet at night. The porch lights are a nice touch. I enjoyed my stay!"

"We had a fantastic time for a summer getaway here! The property is big, spacious and has great quiet neighborhood. Best part is its proximity to the truckee river. If I had to choose one thing to notify future guests is to bring body wash as property didn’t have it. Not a big deal but a PSA."

"It is a historic rustic hotel. It is clean. Remember when booking, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. It is pretty nice at night with fans in the window. Keep the fan in the windows all day though, to help the temp. If you are hot natured be prepared. It had a nice feel and we had a very small room. It was clean, but Remember there wont be a little microwave or fridge. It is a really neat place and had food,drinks, coffee and whatever you needed for the most part. After figuring out the fan situation, and just the general atmosphere it was awesome. There are cool trails all over the place. We will go back there with family, except get a cabin for the room and more windows. This place was very family friendly. Families gathered there around the tables and had laughs and good conversations. Besides the room being too warm, it was great and I wouldn't choose a different place to stay. There are really fancy places in Tahoe, this is laid back and fun. Lots of smiles."

"From my initial questions before booking, all the way through checking out, our communication with the hosts was perfect.The home itself was in the perfect location for us. Right on a calm part of the Truckee River and placed wonderfully past the Y, before the hustle and bustle of being further in town, yet close to everything you'd want/need via and short walk/drive. We immediately felt at home upon entering. The house is cozy, comfortable, and has everything you could want/need without the feeling that can come along with a perfectly aesthetic and showplace-type home. You can exist without fear of potentially ruining something fancy, which, especially staying with dogs (or even younger kids), eases that concern. We're not careless or messy, but like minded people will know what I mean.I was giddy over the well-fenced backyard yard for our doggos, which told me we'd TRULY be able to relax knowing they would be safe if they wanted to explore or just do dog things. The back gate leading right down to the river made it easy to get ourselves to the water and the dogs could just run right out and jump in without a drive somewhere (which is a whole vibe with a dog that hates other random dogs). All "dog- friendly" places are absolutely not created equal, so I'm really driving this point home. Please just pick up after your dog(s), so we can keep having these kind of places to stay."
