Short walk through a pretty average industrial area to the Port. Longer walk to the station.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, The manager (also the chef) provided personal service and the meals were excellent. The staff were always supportive and friendly. My room was well appointed with a fridge, TV, free WiFi with daily housekeeping. Breakfast was good. Parking out front was good. My focus was visiting Barth and the regions and Hotel Carmina am See was centrally located for me. I could not fault this hotel and strongly recommend to travellers.

This hotel is in a complex of four different historical houses. Because of building restrictions, they are joined by an elaborate labyrinth of underground corridors. The concierge was lovely and showed me to my room - he had to. I'd never have found it on my own. I got lost about 5 times in the 10 hours I was staying there. If there'd been a fire, I'd have been toast. Beautiful room, lovely breakfast, but there was almost no wifi signal in my room. Finally I found one by sitting on the toilet...

Great hotel as we were cycle touring. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and safe and secure bicycle storage room.
