- Yellow Door is the perfect getaway home for a comfortable yet sophisticated experience in Kingsland. Enjoy with kids or romantic weekend. Perfectly located: Little over an hour from Austin! Less than 2 hours from San Antonio. From Property: Water views of Llano River, paddle boarding, fishing, cozying up by the fireplace with a good book, soaking in the tub with Hill Country view, watching wildlife, upper balcony to enjoy sunsets or morning coffee. With river front access and beach-like expanses to play at the slabs, fish and explore! Come stay the week while you work remotely in the office nook. Vacation experience in the growing town of Kingsland. Visit the actual home filmed in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre! Enjoy dining at Wakepoint for some delicious food, Boat Town to rent a boat nearby and/or grab a beer and burger. You will want to visit to nearby wineries, the Slab, Inks Lake State Park and all the great little antique shops.

Great Time at The Yellow Door
My family spent Thanksgiving at the Yellow Door and we loved it. The house is beautiful and functional. There is so much livable space. Beautiful view of the Llano River Valley. Walk down the hill to the dry river bank and the river. The two- and five-year-old loved digging in the sand, finding rocks and shells. I highly recommend

Wonderful Escape
We had a large family group and the Yellow Door was perfect! The kids enjoyed exploring the river and the house is close enough to lakes and other activities to fill your week with lots of fun. If you need a break from the heat one day I highly recommend the Longhorn Caverns! Audrey was very responsive and great to work with.
