Charming cottage on North Norfolk coast

Cosy, dog friendly cottage. Perfect for long beach walks with or without a pet.
Sloe Gin Cottage has a charming interior that boasts traditional period features with quirky splashes of character throughout including exposed beams, trusses and a cosy wood-burning stove. Lovingly restored, using traditional materials and colours, the cottage provides stylish accommodation with comfortable furnishings. A real 'home from home' with hidden wooden mice to hunt for!
Accommodation: Ground Floor - Sitting Room: a welcoming room with comfortable seating, cosy throws and wood-burner, Smart TV. Kitchen/Dining Room - gas range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge /freezer, washing machine, sofa, farmhouse kitchen table and chairs, French doors to courtyard garden, stairs to the first floor. Please note: The staircase at the property is a typical Norfolk staircase. It may be steeper than your staircase at home. First Floor - Bedroom 1 with a double bed, Bedroom 2 with 2'6" twin beds. Bathroom - bath tub, rainfall over-bath shower, washbasin and wc. Garden - fully enclosed sunny courtyard with table and chairs. Gas central heating and woodburner. Pets - Two well behaved medium-sized dogs welcome downstairs only. Also provided - towels, highchair and stair gate. Books, DVDs, games, radio. WiFi. Note this is a non-smoking property. Mobile signal - good. Parking for 2 cars on gravel drive.

A Beautiful Place To Stay

The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped, the kitchen had everything you could ever need. A great place

We really enjoyed our stay in the property. The wooden mice were a nice touch and the children had fun finding them. The kitchen/diner was a great space to cook and eat in and the lounge very comfortable. A lovely place to spend a week and to anyone else staying, we thoroughly recommend the bakery!

Much needed short stay!

Charming period cottage

Very welcoming comfy cottage. Exceptional well-equipped kitchen, quality items, everything you could need. Comfy beds and much appreciated welcome package. Only downside is access to parking - could benefit from dropped kerb plus we had a car parked across the road all the time we stayed, making access a little difficult. However, overall a recommended stay.

Charming Getaway in a Quite Seaside Village

I impulsively booked a solo getaway for myself and couldn't have stumbled upon a more perfect place to escape! This place was exactly as described, and had all the charm and peaceful quiet I was looking for. The visitor guidebook that Nicky and Raj provided was so helpful and brought me to explore additional places nearby I didn't know about. Their guidance and communication for the check-in and check-out process was very smooth also. I can't brag about my stay enough - if you stay here, you'll wonder when you'll be lucky enough to visit again!

Lovely cottage

We had a very nice stay. The cottage was well-equipped and very comfortable. The sunny garden was also very pleasant and seemed to get the sun both morning and evening. Heacham is a nice spot with all the amenities we needed. Tesco was a short walk away and it was a pleasant walk into Hunstanton along the coast path. We also spent time in Thornham just a short drive away - an amazing and very quiet beach. We would love to visit again and explore more of this lovely area.

Extremely comfortable, well-equipped and quiet cottage

This is a delightful cottage, with a cosy sitting-room and then much larger than expected and extremely well-equipped kitchen/diner at the back. We didn’t have sitting out weather, but there is a small secluded garden at the back which would be lovely in summer - better than it appears on the Vrbo photos. Despite being on a road called High Street it is very quiet. A bonus is the well above-average quality selection of books and DVDs available.

Heaven in Heacham

We booked a 3 night stay on a bank holiday weekend without any elevated costs- brilliant! The cottage is beyond charming-the layout is sublime and it’s definitely what I’d call a chef's kitchen, where we spent most of our time- round the table meals and evening board games meant quality time (rare with teens!) Our two dogs were easily accommodated and loved having the run of an ample downstairs. If anything I’d say that the photos don’t do enough justice to the sheer space, airiness, and overall comfort. The beach was just a short walk away down what we have named “duck alley”! It was easy to stretch our legs, play on some 2p machines, eat some chips and watch stunning sunsets. This is an absolute treasure of a find with great hosts in contact throughout. Will return.
