Venture 13 miles to Castle Acre to see the ruins of a Norman settlement, including a castle, village, parish church and one of the best-preserved monastic sites in England. Take the children to the Watatunga Nature Reserve, 5.5 miles away, where wild animals roam free. Arrange a trip to the Royal Sandringham Estate, 15.5 miles away, to tour the stately home and explore the extensive, landscaped parkland grounds. Plan a day out by the sea in Heacham, 23.5 miles away, or Hunstanton, 24 miles away.
