    The Blue Heron Lake House

    The Blue Heron is a spacious 4-season waterfront cottage on Round Lake in Smith’s Bay, just outside Killaloe, Ontario, designed for families and groups looking to relax, reconnect and enjoy the outdoors. It comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

    The property offers beautiful lake views, a gradual family-friendly shoreline and sandy-bottom swimming area, along with a private dock and boat slip. Guests can spend their days swimming, fishing, paddling, relaxing on the dock or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

    Inside, Blue Heron has a warm cottage atmosphere with two living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, games room and cozy fireplace. The screened-in porch provides a wonderful place for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening, while the large outdoor deck offers seating and a BBQ area.

    Outside, guests can enjoy the private hot tub, large deck, fire pit, fenced yard and children’s play area. The cottage is also dog-friendly, making it a great option for families who want to bring their four-legged members along.

    Blue Heron is also an excellent base for exploring the Ottawa Valley and nearby Algonquin Park, with hiking, boating, fishing, local attractions and small communities nearby. Wildlife is abundant around the property—you may see blue herons, loons, woodpeckers, deer and even the occasional fox.

Please make sure hot tub is set at 102 and is secure and locked down All windows and doors are locked and return key.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
