The host was very helpful with all my inquiries and was clear and straight to the point on check in and check out. Everything you could possibly need to use while staying here is in this house. "We were very nervous about this property because Expedia/VRBO did a horrible job of communicating check in .. instead of telling us to contact the host all they need to stay is that keys would be available. That barge is not pretty from the outside, but amazing and unique . Great beds, view of the harbor, and big shower are just a few of the cool feature. We had ducks and swans passing by our window all evening. The location could not be better, across from two good restaurants and a bar....

"We were two families, French and Scottish, we all had a great time! The location is beautiful, the house was full of unique qualities… the servants bells caused a lot of amusement. Full of character and history. Excellent place for larger groups. Excellent communication regarding keys etc.Had a wonderful lunch at Tayvallin..about 20 minutes away… delicious seafood! No complaints about the house, location or our hosts!! Recommend this lovely house and place! "

"My daughter and I absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Lochead Chalet. It's in a wonderful spot right on the loch side, and oh my it is so very peaceful! The chalet itself was a perfect size for we two adults and our little dogs and we found it very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Karlina in the Ellary estate office was lovely too. A beautiful location for a holiday and a charming place to stay - highly recommended. "

"We had an amazing break at this fabulous tranquil location. So private, surrounded by trees, none of the other lodges were visible from ours, great close by views of the loch from the living room and the master bedroom. 20 minutes walk along the edge of the loch to the Oystercatcher pub only renovated and reopened four weeks earlier, provided excellent food and local Fyne Ales beer, sitting outside beside the Loch. Long single track road kept the place private and close to nature."

"Lovely new property at the back of Lochgilphead. Only a 10 minute walk to the shops and 15 minute to the shore. The Crinan Canal is only a 5 minute walk and Lochgilphead golf course is a well maintained, short 9 holes course. We had a lovely relaxing stay"
