Wailana Sands #102 Peaceful Complex With Pool Across from Mai Poina Ole Beach

Wailana Sands #102 is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit at a quiet boutique property across the street from Mai Poina Beach Park. NOTE- This unit is on the ground floor and has direct, unencumbered access to the courtyard and pool area. This makes things convenient but could potentially present a danger if someone in your party is a non-swimmer.
The unit includes a fully-equipped kitchen and complimentary wifi. The bedroom provides a queen bed and a ceiling fan, and you'll find a futon, a cable television, and a ceiling fan in the living room. Enjoy your meals from your lanai while taking in the beautiful garden and pool views. There are even a couple barbecues available for guest use. When you are ready to head to the beach, Wailana Sands #102 conveniently supplies beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. NOTE- there is no A/C in this unit however there is a sunshade off the lanai. Sleeps 2.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation require a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.
Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will require an ID check and screening prior to confirmation.
Longer stays require additional terms and conditions. Please contact Rentals Maui for inquiries longer than 60 nights.
We work to maintain a very accurate website. At times furniture, decor or flooring may be upgraded and pictures are not updated yet. This would not change the seating, sleeping, function or views of the condo. Amenities are accurately and clearly listed for your convenience.
Wailana Sands is located in North Kihei near the Whale Sanctuary, Kalepolepo Beach, and an ancient Hawaiian fishpond. Wailana Sands has a large pool, gas grills, and a coin-operated common laundry area. Whale watch, windsurf, walk the beach, and enjoy the most amazing sunsets imaginable. Wailana Sands is centrally located to shops and restaurants, and is just minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena. It is an ideal launchpad to head west toward Lahaina and Kaanapali, north toward the airport, or south to the Wailea area. This is one of the best values in Kihei.

We had a great stay at the property. It was clean however it is in need of some upgrading and repair. It is sparsely furnished and therefore the indoor space was not as comfortable as it could be. The kitchen was well equipped overall except it lacked a dishwasher. The outside space and access to the beach were by far the best feature of this property. Availability of beach equipment such as snorkel gear, cooler bag and chairs were a plus.

It’s location makes it feel very private a “tucked away.” Just across the street is a lovely beach and a short Uber ride you find yourself in the middle of all the tourist action if you want. The condo has everything to make the stay enjoyable, particularly the beach chairs! I’ll definitely stay here again on return trips to Maui!

Had everything we needed in the kitchen and items to take to the pool with us. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been AC. It got pretty warm during the day and took a bit to cool off with fans. We had to leave the back door open with the screen and a fan to pull cold air in. The made it manageable. I would stay here again.

That should have been in caps in the description. Missed that entirely. Days in the 90's very uncomfortable despite 7 fans. Had to close doors when people smoked a couple of doors down, blew into our unit. GREAT POOL. Quiet area. Chickens, roosters, Java Temple Birds, etc. Apparently some of the units had A/C.

Cute place.

We loved our stay here. It had all the things we needed from beach chairs, hats, towels, etc. it was cute and comfortable. While it was generally very clean, I did have to clean greasy finger prints from the kitchen cupboard doors. The bed and couch were quite comfortable and we loved being close to the pool. We also liked that the complex was quite small and quiet. While there was a nice breeze and lots of fans to keep the air circulating, I did wish there was an air conditioner while it was warm at night. I am quite sensitive to heat, though. My husband found the temperature fine without air con. We would stay here again!

Fabulous Location

We enjoyed our stay immensely. My husband missed that there is no AC in this unit but honestly we didn’t miss it. This condo is a block off of the bay and between the breeze off the ocean and the supplied seven fans we were more than fine. We were worried when we first arrived late in the evening and the place was stuffy. Once we opened it up and got some air moving it was fine. Apparently in the summer months AC might be more of a concern. We were left a minimum of supplies w the exception of the dishwasher detergent. That’s ok bc they forgot the dishwasher! Again no big deal. This quiet location is a block off the beach in North Kihei. The setting is lovely with landscaped gardens that are lovingly attended, an awesome pool and BBQs for owners and guests. We enjoyed the chance to meet some of the owners of the other units. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Cant leave screen door or window open. 2 fans don't work to cool the place down. There are no condiments ei:coffee filters sugar etc. We slept on top fouton and bed with wet wash clothes on our faces. Dirty linen was two wash clothes and two beach towels. we cleaned floors.We slept one night at unit. It was medically not safe environment. Spent $1394 for one night.

We loved the cleanliness and how well supplied the unit was the moment we crossed the threshold. The pool and garden is so inviting! The living room area is minimally furnished with a futon, tv and coffee table. The condo is full of chairs, beach towels and items to enhance vacations. It was much hotter than usual and there is no a/ c. Our only suggestion would be that the futon is uncomfortable as the only seating in living area.
